  Did anyone here ever meet Stephen Lett?

  what is he like in person?

  He was my book study conductor at Bethel Heights Congregation within the Bethel building (107) in '69 while I was in 'primary' for 6 months, assigned to Grenwich Village book study group (assigned with 4 or 5 other new Bethelites,). He didn't have such facial expressions back then. Actually I was shocked to see how he is now in recent videos. He was pleasant, not arrogant, I think about 21 yrs old then & a partaker already. I chuckle now how It must have been a site for 6 young suited guys and me, 1 female, taking the subway and walking down Grenwich Village streets.

  mexico is by far the country where the witnesses have had the most success in the entire world.

  almost any statistic except the total amount of witnesses shows that mexico is where the witnesses have had the wildest success in the world.proportional to population, the witnesses in mexico are double, or nearly triple, what they are in the us or brazil.but there is "trouble in paradise".

  if mexico falls, pretty much the whole watchtower falls.which is why it is so important to have jwfacts translated to spanish.i made an analysis and things are looking bad in mexico... if trends continue, mexico will become just like the 1st-world countries.here is the first graph:maximum publisher % increase:.

  Wondering: how is it working in reality when families dealing with disfellowshipped family members? I heard that the Latino mamas and grandmas aren't handling that issue - to cut off their children and grandchildren. Afterall, in that culture, a tight generational family for care of each other, and definitely, as they age, is a basic necessity.

  I expect the same issue to hit gradually other countries, especially third-world and cultures?

  I see even in the U.S. there are many aging, (& widowed) JWs women, somehow work around the DF issue of their grown children, as they have claim that they need their grown children to care for them, etc. They know from experience that the congregations don't or can't take care of them.

  X/LDS vs X/JW!!!Who is more twisted and bitter.

  since leaving the jws i have become fascinated by the lds church, because of the similarities both organisations have.

  in reading x-mo forums i get the impression that they tend to be not as bitter and as twisted as xjw.

  this is surprising as i think the lds is a bigger con than the jws.

  how many hours a week of meetings do the lds kids have to sit thru that are not age appropriate? how much unnatural work do they have to do, like jws kids having to go door to door, lds kids are big time into organized sports, birthdays, holidays. most lds kids encouraged to go to college. most lds don't completely shun their kids, if their kids aren't active. "Jack" Mormons are accepted.

  i ask this question for good reason.

  let's face it, despite all the books, videos, forums, court cases, hearings, protests etc that have been exposing the society for many years.

  jw.org continues to roll on almost 'it seems' unscathed.. for example, just walk into any kingdom hall there is not so much as a whisper about anything that has been exposed outside of jw land.

  absolutely thrilled to give you the news that my younger brother, a zealous full-time pioneer has left the witnesses!!.

  i haven't seen or spoke to him in a year.

  i'd lost all contact with him, no facebook, no mobile number, i didn't even know his address because he'd moved house.

  Should a JW accept Veteran payments?

  hello people,.

  i was born in but long time faded.

  i think i hold current jws to a higher standard than they now maintain.. here's the thing; my father is very old, in his nineties and been a jdub for over 60 years and even made it to elder till he got too old.on a recent visit my siblings and dad were saying how wonderful that veterans affairs were.

  The JW Vets deserve their benefits. Ironically, the 'evil' governments provide them funds for their elderly years, that the JWs were sure they would never need, as they wouldn't get 'old.' The WT organization demanded the rest of their lives, including time and money. The WT organization owes them nothing and they get nothing.
