hey guys, i'm working on a paper about exploitation amongst jehovah's witnesses ( i'm also preparing a book about jehovah's witnesses and interaction ritual theory, and another paper about jehovah's witnesses and discrimination against women).
i'm trying to calculate as exact figures as i can concerning how much bethelites are paid.
does anyone know the monthly stipend as of now?

there seems to be, on average, a higher level of intelligence here than there is at the kingdom hall.
actually, intelligent conversation seems to be looked down upon among the witnesses.. also, the simple language skills found here seem to be above average compared to those among the witnesses.
They think they have found "truth" like it is mostly a done deal. They don't have to seek more info unless it is provided by their utility water company. Their water is polluted and limited. It is beyond me how they don't get bored out of their minds. Their repetition is suffocating.

Wow, youtube hit of woman entering KH to voice her opinion about the Lauren Stuart, shows over 52,000 hits. JoyceTaylor had been a JW about 30 years ago. Friended Lauren later years. That meeting was cancelled that she spoke at ( or interrupted.) Lauren had left org 5 years ago but apparently still had some impact of JW teachings/beliefs, had been a 'partaker.' i have been sadly watching as the number of jws in other countries are decreasing (for the most part), while the numbers in the us are strangely increasing.
while i question the organization's self reporting numbers, i think 2018 may be the year for another mass us exodus.

The WT is like a wild beast that needs 'new' blood. Without that it will only be ravenous, turning on their weak.
Religion can be a religion without converts for maybe a generation. It doesn't have much draw to keep their young. It seems most 'second' generation JW kids don't have the same strickness, not much WT idealism on their kids, than as how second generation were raised. Do you notice this?

By those numbers, no way U.S. had 1% increase,,even for their peak. This can't even by rounded up to that. increase of 684 divided by last year's peak is .06%,,( not even .1% )please correct me if I'm wrong.

first of all, i must say that english is not my mother tongue (i'm spanish), so excuse me if i make any mistake.. do you think that some people simply can't cope with being outside the jws?
some of them are too worldlyphobic to be around non-jws, too dependent on a fixed set of rules in order to carry on with their lives, too dependent on the hope of paradise and resurrection, too unable to leave their personal comfort zone within the organization.
The organization selling this security blanket needs exposure. It is full of holes, thread-worn, filthy. This false sense of "security" has only 'doped' individuals, taking their money, and more, all their time. It requires them to go out and get others, family and strangers to join them in this scam. They are to cut off family if necessary, they are denied any education that would free them of some of their maladies.
Some people 'need' their self-righteousness, but lets not protect it.
