College: Watchtower Counsel Is Poison And Wrong
by metatron ini'm not an inspired prophet - nevertheless, let me tell you what the future will be for ordinary, middle.
class people in the united states:.
inflation is going to accelerate and making a living for families is only going to get more difficult.. the real standard of living in the us may fall.

This is one of my three top pet peeves (tho others) with the WTS. The WTS stunts their youth. This is unnatural. College reality today is as fundamentally required as high school was even a few decades ago to be able to get decent jobs. College today doesn't guarantee wealth but it allows more doors open for decent employment. The youth pay the biggest price in so many ways in WTS.

Persecution Wanes/Banning Blood Garners Publicity
by compound complex insheer madness --- perpetuated by two madmen who prevailed over the judge [almost].
"after the judge's death, as world war ii was ending and persecution against the witnesses began declining, along with the attendant drop in news-media publicity, hayden c. covington told the author [of the four presidents] that fred franz saw the prohibition against blood transfusions as a way to accomplish two things: to continue to publicize the religion, and to create an uproar in the community.
this reaction would convince the membership they were being "persecuted" and "suffering for righteousness sake," a sure sign they were "in the truth.".

This issue alone still finds anger/indignation in me. The thousands that have unnecessarily died or near died. The tens of thousands more that suffered the issue that didn't have to get a transfusion, like my mom but suffered with anxiety during her whole pregnancy in '62 due to RH issue when rhogam was banned, tho now okayed, or another time when she needed surgery but the hospital then wouldn't accept accept her when she stated she was a JW and wouldn't accept a transfusion so she had to go to another hospital but there her insurance was not accepted so my parents had to go deeply in debt as that other hospital wouldn't accept the insurance there, so therefore my folks had to go deeply into debt. All the anxiety JWs suffer unnecessarily and possibly additional debt for a man-made doctrine and the GB don't give a damn.

Do you ever get nausea when encountering JW stuff
by Sirona ini thought after 7 years out i had done a pretty good job of getting my mind free of the jws.. then yesterday i went on youtube and typed in jehovah's witness.
after watching a few apostate videos, i came across a pro-jw video of a convention.
as i started the video and they started singing "we thank you jehovah" i got a mega wave of nausea and felt like i had to switch the thing off.. has this happened to you?

I start getting the feeling of suppression or claustrophobia and a feeling like "I can't breathe, I can't breathe, I need fresh air."

Exciting announcements at service meeting
by truthseeker inwe've already had a post on this, but there were other interesting comments.. the brother giving the announcements said that there would be a new understanding of jesus' reference to the generation as discussed at the annual meeting.. an elder giving a service meeting part review of different watchtower articles from the current year brought out the new light concerning 1935.. he asks: "when is the sealing of the anounted ones?".
elder answers: "there is no specific date".
later after the meeting, i asked an elder if the new understanding of the remnant now meant that younger people could go to heaven.. he answered with an affirmative "yes" and that we would be getting the new understanding of the generation jesus spoke of in a future 2008 watchtower.. .

I thought it had been said many years ago that some of the anointed may go into the "new world" after Armageddon. I think sometimes they don't say something for awhile & then when they re-state in come across as new light.

This is so sad,,as your mom ages she will only struggle more, what an unhappy future for her. She is letting men control her, men (GB) most who never had children, nor grandchildren and those men will not be there for her when she's old. The congregation will not be able to fulfill her either.

I HAVE MADE A DECISION TO LEAVE
by Maddie ini haven't been on jwd for the last few days as my good friend had her mum die suddenly and i have been spending time just being there for my friend.. i was shocked and saddened to hear that trevor and linda was a sham.
it's sometimes hard not to become cynical with life and not trust anyone when this sort of thing happens.. i have made a big decision and i hope that i don't live to regret it.
i have posted that i have been trying to "fade" as my son and his family are jw's and i don't want to lose them because of being shunned.

I want to congratulate you on personal decision. I am happy for you that you have your husband by your side and you have all his support. Since you have your son in the JWdom yet though, I suggest if possible to wait and not get df'd or da'd. Could you just stop going to meetings for now? I personally don't think the elders deserve an explanation as they really don't care about you in reality or the long run. Try to avoid them like the plague. Just give it time and you'll be out of their 'radar.' How you handle the celebrations, might could look more from your husband as an unbeliever in some way for awhile? Best wishes for you and hopefully with time your son will re-question that empty world and realize that they cannot, will not, aren't even closely able to help him in his life.

first seeds of doubt
by confused and lost injust before this weeks book study i happened to say to my wife ,(in a matter of fact sort of way),"that judge rutherford was not a very likable character".i then "dropped in" 1925 and the foretold resurrection of the prophets aswell as some other stuff i had learned about rutherford.i then casually alluded to other dates such as 1799,1874 and 1975.her response was that "they were a fickle bunch".she then said in all seriousness "do you think its right ?
",meaning did i think that we are in the "truth"i had to curb my enthusiasm to tell her exactly what i thought, figuring that a- little- at- a- time approach would be best suited to my purpose.hence the first seeds of doubt have been sown.

Very wise of you to consider your wife and where she's at with any reconsidering thoughts and respecting her process. Best wishes to you both.
