  Conti v Watchtower - Court Denies Watchtower Motion re: Substituting Bond - November 16 court documents in pdf

  Has the WTS ever made a settlement offer (specifically, any amount ? known)? I know Ms. Candice right from the beginning said she would not "settle."

  Could the WTS try to make a settlement at any point in the future now, tho no "gag order" can be done now as Ann stated? They are in a 'lose-lose' situation for sure. Would the WTS come to accept this before "appeal court?" Or, will they in their arrogance and stubborness take it for the run and additional interests and fees, which is only passed down to the 'for real' employed working class?

  I think the WTS could lie and convince their members that they had to settle, as the courts were "prejudiced" right from the start.

  The Circuit Overseer's Visit on MP3

  my dad came up to me the other day and handed me the mp3 of the recent visit to my old congregation.

  we both decided we would listen to it and discuss it together, despite the fact that neither of us have been to the meeting in over 18 months.. it was nice to hear all those old voices again but it was also a little bit sad.

  as regards the talks, they were pretty much the standard i expected them to be.

  Why does the WTS legal come up with these very empty requests to the court? Don't they check the law processes and requirements? Don't they research? Isn't this 'stalling' just costing them additional money?

  Canada Zone Visit - April 2013

  just got word of a zone visit for canada in april 2013, think it was april 8 to 14. sounds like its just 2 members of the u.s. branch comittee, no gb.

  however, they plan on showing a talk on april 13/14 to all congregations in canada, not just a select few as has always been the case.. it'll be the same old stuff, but maybe this is why they the watchtower is purchasing all those projectors, like that "confidential" document mentions?

  to broadcast things like this in all congregations?.

  showing a talk on april 13/14 to all congregations in canada, will those talks be taped or saved for later or even on their web site?

  Those "projector" Talks will probably be regular from the Headquarters worldwide, with option to setup as interpreted into several languages.

  Probably will relieve the local elders having to give those talks.

  I didn't ever hear of "U.S. zone meeting" till last year when Barbara put a report here about that.

  welcome,,Haboob,,was so great talking with you by phone,,you're doing great,,researching, reading, re-evaluating all things.

  Being raised in JWdom has residual effects on us for sure. But identifying it, we can go on and process things through as time goes on and life gets sweeter.

  Probably the 'way' they mention 1914 anymore is not printed even close to years ago, simply, as "the last days started in 1914!"

  The WT would just do some mumble jumble on it.

  I wonder how many JWs if asked directly, "did the last days begin in 1914," most would simply answer 'yes.' However, the GB if asked. but knowing they were being taped & televised, would go through a lot of mumbo, jumbo.

  DO: what to do by doubts

  the do told us at the recent district assembly @ the netherlands, that if you have doubts about jw doctrine, you have to remain a strong connection with jehovah god, because "you are dedicated to jehovah and not to an organisation".. later on a very old brother was interviewed and he gave the counsel "keep your doubts about doctrine in a refrigiator, just wait and see".

  the do asked him "how many refrigiators do you have?

  the brother told him "i have 3 refrigiators full".

  thx Besty,, so funny they don't say anything about the $81M on their site,, was also ridiculous how they so enjoyed "caring" for the building for 25 yrs and its history like it gave such 'purpose' or something to them. hahahahha The poor JWs working on it for years, renovations, 'cleaning' etc,,and now it's gone. So purposeless, the whole thing.
