GB then weren't concerned for the rank and file's health or well-being, and they aren't now.
But they may be concerned about lawsuits now, thus smaller crowds, indoors, no meals or refreshment foods available, fewer days, fewer hours, etc.

excuse tyoos.
i am breaking in a new smart phone keyp.
yesterday or today s mobile breaking news summary included a piece that ranked with the syrian civil war, the zimmemsn trial aftermath, business newd , etc.
Interesting, thx, I suppose the Mormon Church could excommunicate him now but now thankfully due to Internet and media, that puts that Church in a bind. Years ago without Internet, a person like him would be excommunicated and no one would probably know the facts about why. Now with Internet people can know the inside facts.
I think if Ray Franz had Internet, his facts would have shaken the organization much more. Like, now, if a GB left the org. due to doctrinal and policy issues it would have a tremendous impact. But I don't have any hope about this present GB bunch.
i just came across this gem on "the chatanoogan"... it was an ad/article about the 2013 dc at the nw georgia trade & convention center arena .... what i found most interesting was the fluff at the end of the article.... fast facts - jehovah's witnesses worldwide.
6 - new congregations formed each day30 - people baptized each hour on average239 - lands where jehovah's witnesses currently preach595 - languages in which they publish bibles and bible-based literature111,719 congregations worldwide7,538,994 - ministers who teach the bible19,000,000 - people who attend their meetings or conventions179,000,000 - bibles published by jehovah's witnesses in 116 languages20,000,000,000 - pieces of bible-based literature published by jehovah's witnesses over the past 10 yearsare you kidding me?
6 congos formed each day?
Avg. of baptisms per cong ones getting baptized is 2.4 worldwide annually. Each cong avg. of 67 active reg. pubs. only worldwide. For meeting(s), it is really only the Memorial, once a year, that 19M attend, which the last couple years indicate a decrease since a couple years ago.
the meetings are getting more boring to me.
some of the elders during their parts just talk and talk and talk about uninteresting things.
boring, boring.
In the U.S. apparently the total number of Elders is 88,500+ as opposed to M Ss 65,000. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/child-abuse/203961/1/WTBTS-Elder-Ministerial-Servant-Problems (posted a couple yrs ago) Wonder if there's any updates on that.
Sounds like your cong. is in the avg.
just incase there are those like me who hadn't seen this before.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qepcakqoljg.

the nephew is on the far right, this is berengaria's son.
great kid.
the two musclemen to the left of him are now both fathers of 2 daughters each (our 4 great-grandaughters) the other two on the far left are still single and frisky.
So glad the WTS didn't get these adorable "muscle men."
My two sisters and 2 brothers are in this picture (at left) here. We had 15 kids altogether. They, also, have had to listen at our many, many 'get-togethers and listen to our WT 'war' stories. Also fortunately, we've had many celebrations of life, birthdays, weddings, and holidays, now grandchildren and normal!!
i thought the below link would be interesting to see how the problems facing the wtbts can be paralled with the mormon church.. www.reuters.com/article/2012/01/31/us-mormonchurch-idustre80ticm20120131.
Interesting. I live a block from a LDS Church. Their parking lot 12 years ago was over-full always. Now there is a lot of unfilled parking.
http://www.jwstruggle.com/2013/07/bethel-layoffs-reveal-a-kingdom-without-clothes/.
despite everything, i still have a lingering admiration toward those who serve or have served in bethel.
it is not that i believe it is gods organization in any way, shape, or form.
I wonder:
if the Bethel Layoffs were the reason for the Oct. 15, 2013 WT with the article about Malcolm Allen. He had been in circuit and district work and Bethel, but left "in mid-70s" to take care of aging parents then. He would have been about 53 yrs old then, not so young. He had to get secular work too but . . . . he still enjoyed all "Jehovah's blessing and favor."
The article uses "Always lean on Jehovah and accept what he permits." Right under the title, "Life is unpredictable at times, uncertain, and even hard to deal with." (So, now Bethel, the organization, the new world 'soon' etc, are all "unpredictable and uncertain" too!!
hi folks.
i apologize if this is old news to some, but it's news to me.. i stumbled on a comprehensive list of all the sold properties on wikipedia on this link... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/watch_tower_bible_and_tract_society_of_pennsylvania#brooklyn_property_sales.
it's just a mind-boggling amount of money, and useful information to have handy when talking to witness relatives.
Eldenno, the stats noted above verify that all those countries only on average increase less than 1% a year. Really, not much to boast about as population increases, including immigrants, would be around that at least.
The WTS does boast that they are increasing in their circulation because of their printing additional languages, when the mags are actually half the size now. That's like someone boasting that they are feeding more people than ever, but now everyone's plates are half the size.
anyone getting/hearing how baptism numbers are this summer @ conventions?
in previous years, reports showed less baptisms per attendance numbers.
overall, annual 2012 service report showed for u.s. reduction in baptisms..
http://tbo.com/central-tampa/jehovahs-witnesses-meet-in-tampa-after-30-year-absence-20130713/
Tampa with 24 baptized with attendance about 6,000 = .4%
