Last night the one cool elder calls me
by confusedandalone ini figured he was going to arrange the committee and try to get me kicked out after the whole "big pile of books" labelled "take this shit".. well his call made me realize that more and more people ... elders included no longer take this religion seriously.
after he told me he heard what happened he actually laughed and said i would never expect that.
he then told me that it is apparent that i no longer want to be connected to the organization.

Does he hope you will 'foot' the deepsea fishing trip? Maybe he is 'unraveling.' He probably doesn't want to 'cut' you off personally. But he is in a tough spot as an elder. Time will tell.

it is sad... it is pathetic... it has helped me realize that i have no connection to these people anymore.

It is wise to never give an addicted person cash. So, no cash!!! (They might would give some of that to the WTS) They are addicted to the WTS and sounds like they have just given to your brother too.
At best, if you help your 'ill' (addicted) parents, ask them to send any certain specific bills for you to pay straight yourself, and/or you could send local grocery store gift cards for food.
They will only despise you because of your stance, no matter.

by Lozza Aussie ini was sitting at meeting the other night and happen to notice an elder with a sheet of paper with the title of the above post.
it appears to have been composed on a computer, not a form printed by the org.
on it were all the names of the people in this particular elders group and there were columns for the days of the week when we have our meetings.

Nov 15 WT: The elders must stand ready to help any who may now be wavering in their faith.
I expect, the elders will be on extra watchfulness and 'tracking.' Seems like the WTS expects the 'Great Wavering of 2014!'

Active Witness Reading Combatting Cult Mind Control
by BU2B ini have gotten a thought about how to wake active witnesses up.
since the book does not mention jws specifically, if you could get a active jw to read ccmc, what do you think their reaction would be?
could they clearly see how jws fit in as a cult?, or would the average jw be blinded to the obvious and just see how other groups like mormons, moonies, scientology, etc fit the mold?

Why do the GB need a new Bethel compound if the end is so close? Here is the "official" answer
by sir82 inas most of us know, the society is spending 10's of millions of dollars on a giant, state of the art, secluded bunker country club headquarters in very remote, isolated warwick ny.. the question that "some" have is, why?
if armageddon is coming "very soon", why go to all that time & effort & expense?
why have thousands of jws dedicating their time to this massive effort instead of the "lifesaving ministry"?.

ugh,, all the other 7 million JWs must wait for their "beautiful" home and "paradisaic" yards till Armageddon and 'eke' by till then.
Where's their faith that God can protect them? What about all of the thousands of JWs in New York & surrounding metro and all the other cities in the world, etc.?! They'll have to supposedly clean up the mess of all those cities that their god destroys.
The GB is choosing to have their Paradise 'now.' Wish the followers would/could see that!
