Comical, how the letter states Britain had an increase in reg. pio. in Sept. Then, state also, that Ireland had 791 reg. pio. I checked Ireland's 2014 Service Report, stating last year had 847, that's a near 7% decrease. Funny example, how they play their statistics./ -

New Watchtower Propaganda and hate speech destroying families (Feb 2016 WT)
by Daniel1555 inthe following is a paragraph from the new february study watchtower article "learn from jehovah's loyal servants.".
7 a conflict of loyalties may arise when a close relative is disfellowshipped.
for example, a sister named anne [1] received a telephone call from her disfellowshipped mother.

I suspect many, to possibly half, some very aging mothers are contacting their DF'd grown children secretly. They cannot accept in their heart that their child is 'that' bad, or that someone in the congregation really stumbled them, or that their father was too harsh, etc. I remember hearing some aging mothers admitting that.
There has been a teeter-tottering of that for many. Many struggling in their personal lives on that. For some grandmas, it was the only way for them to get to see their grandchildren. To deny most aging women her children and grandchildren, will leave her a very embittered finale of her life. ( some are hard-nosed, by their nature anyway.)
Since the organization is an aging group, 2/3 of their youth leaving, and since most of the aging, are female who become depressed and bitter they create their own 'doom.'

I am in Phoenix. There were a couple 'Meetup' groups for awhile but have closed. Mostly, just a stepping stone for ones leaving and moving on. Meeting people face to face was great! Some came and refused to even hardly talk and would only give an alias name. Next meeting or two, they would be talking freely. Some were disfellowshipped and broken, but a few meetups later were joyful as can be. Sometimes, there were about 20 there but mostly smaller groups 4-8.
There was no type of direction or agenda that anyone should believe one way another. Just a 'free expression' type discussion, encouraging others, everyone different yet the strong identification of where we had been and efforts of moving on.
Though, a couple years ago one 'young' couple stated they were also meeting with another group. It was 'Bible Students' a type of from Russell, on the east side of Phoenix valley. I didn't get specifics at that time because I live far from there. Also, maybe I don't know their purpose or concept but I never was drawn to reading the 'Studies of the Scriptures' - too extensively detailed for me. Plus, other things that, to me, just add too many unnecessary explanations. For me, the simple things are the better.
If older ones are having contact with others, that they would understand their plight. Internet may not be comfortable for them. Understandably, having face to face contact with ones you know or have similar ages and similar issues, would be great for them. Hopefully, they are adjusting in their way, possibly slower, or to a certain degree of issues. Whatever works is great. I would qualify age-wise but I do like the Internet.

Any way, you could check again with the agency or another one? You have to pursue what you love and especially you have a strong gift. You are young yet. The WT org will eat you alive, your spirit and soul. Be prepared to have to leave your mom to her choices. You obviously love her. But you must love yourself too.
I am a grandma now, have 5 grown children, all put themselves through college. I am glad they have freedom of their mind and heart and have fulfilling lives. Moms cannot ask for anything more.

Pop: Well, kiddos, thanks for all your work on the farm. Just an announcement, you older ones gotta leave the farm immediately. Gotta work for yourselves now, and get your own home, etc. can't help you doing that but you can still send us some money. You younger ones, can still stay but you gotta do your own cleaning, meals mostly, and wash your own clothes (no fighting over the washer & dryer - share). You gotta learn reading, writing, rithmitic, but that all. You done worked hard a lot but that's the way it goes. god bless/.

Please lookup: jwfacts.com. read as thoroughly as you can,,it has JW literature quotes all throughout.. Sort out some main points disturbing to you: like perhaps their shunning, blood transfusion policy, 2-witness rule regarding their internal pedophiles, college discouragement for their youth, etc.
Now the tester: go over these with her. See how she reacts. If she is defensive or angry toward your points, you will see if she denies or belittles your source (which quotes their own literature).
Then, run! If she stays wanting to know more, then have her read that site and more suggested books listed here.

Hope the Netherlands review the WT 'property flipping' they do, re-building with free labor & additional donations, merging congregations while they 'up-sell,' merge and rebuild. Maybe some governments are questioning and why the WT organization have put on a freeze on so much right now?

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-10-27/labor-pledges-payments-for-sex-abuse-survivors/6886864.
what's interesting is that in january it was proposed that the federal government contribute almost half of an estimated $4.3 billion redress scheme.

Yearbook - will they drop figures that show a decline?
by freddo indo you think the yearbooks will stop showing negative information as the numbers stagnate or even drop?
-
Gayle
Come to think of it, I didn't hear any report of any increases (statistics) of anything at their annual meeting this month. Usually they do. Just info of their mid-week meeting, which was just a format change of sorts.
Did anyone hear of any statistics then?

Jonah,, thx for update. That's a 26%-36% decrease. Dramatic.
On the 2014 service report, it shows 24,711 Bethelites worldwide. Many are hearing of 25% Bethelites getting dismissed (released - ha). That comes to about 6,178 Bethelites. Wow!
