Living in the South you have ....fair to good economy, warm weather, low taxes, and lots of pretty girls.
Living in the North you have...bad economy, cold weather, high taxes, hockey, and ugly women.
Sounds like an easy choice to me!
here in lovely phoenix, az there's a part of me that's tired of phoenix's one redemable feature (reasonable housing prices) and dismiss the cacti, hot temps, lackluster football teams, golfing culture and predominance of fake people with orange tans and..... ... live in a nice bungalow on a country road, havin' a truck with a gun rack, a (rainbow) confederate flag, cranking up some nice soothing wanda jackson, grow myself a big booshy moustache, wear a denim vest, get myself a bassett hound and sit on a front porch in my rocking chair while whispering to myself "it's good to own land.".
for those of you that live in the deep south... or just the regular south.... how's it treating you?
i may consider a change in living arrangements.. - preston.

she is an amazon...i'm guessing 5' 11" with big hips.
her speech was ok, but she says "um" a lot.
our table was very close, which translates into we paid $500.00, instead of $200.00, per plate for our cold chicken salad.
So Michelle has a little junk in the trunk. She still looks good!!!
ok, so here's my story as it stands right now.
my husband and i have been married for 6 1/2 years.
about 2 weeks after we were married, he was appointed as a ministerial servant.
Sadly, your story is very common. The whole 'hours' thing has always bothered me. On one hand, they say from the platform constantly, "just give your best", and, "stop judging others", but then if you become an elder or ms, if you get less than 10 hrs /mth in fs, then it seems to be some unwritten rule that your amount of service is unacceptable.
many religions other than jws believe we are at the "end times".
some individuals believe the earth will really be destroyed either by means of god or man in this century.. what's your take?.
Yes.
i just signed up here, so i guess i should let everyone know a few things about myself.. my maternal grandfather was an elder in a congregation here, and he and my grandmother raised my mother quite strictly as a jehovah's witness.
my father's father was also a jehovah's witness, though much less devout.
when my parents were in their mid-20's they more or less disassociated themselves from the flock.
Welcome to the board. The fact that you were never baptized will probably keep you from having to put up with unwanted overtures to return to the org, since they more than likely consider you 'worldly' anyway.
Look forward to more posts.
cant the elders make it so that any deviation or any thought could be considered "loose conduct" and therefore a disfellowshipping offense?
Basically, yes. You can be df'ed for eating a ham sandwich, as long as the two brothers on the three member committee deem it necessary. The J.C. acts independent of the BOE and the WTBTS.
are we on the edge of the precipice?
.
and if the system dies who will there be to attend the funeral?.
I definitely am worried that this world is drifting toward a communistic, leftward, athiestic , new world order. Of course, to many of you on this board, that's probably what you're praying for...Lol
rule one:.
if you pull into my driveway and honk you'd better be delivering a. package, because you're sure not picking anything up.. .
rule ten:.
As someone with a 16 yr daughter, I can definitely relate. Hilarious...
hi everyone, thought it was time to say hi after nearly a year lurking on this site!!
abit about me... i was born into the jw's and have been baptised for about 15yrs and was appointed as an ms about a year ago.
i have been a die hard jw for the last few years, but because of the arrogant and unloving attitude of certain 'spirit appointed' men within the cong and circuit i began to wounder if what i had really was 'the truth' and caused me to do some digging on some of the fundamental teachings.
Welcome to the board.

I really liked Tony Snow. And Dawg is right, 53 is awfully young.
