help with a scripture from psalms

i cannot find a scripture from psalms.

my mind is drawing a blank this evening.

the scripture speaks of a mere boy playing over the hole of a cobra and the wolf and the lamb will eat straw.

I just came across a note I had written from somewhere. Let me just write what my note says and if someone can point me to the reference. I am not sure what context this

was written in. My note says: "Life Everlasting in Freedom of Sons of God, p. 391-391 says: "Not saved by faith in the blood of Jesus but JW;s stand before God in their own righteousness."

Does anyone have this book? What is the context?

Can someone explain Paradise earth for me.

my mother has brought up this issue a few times lately and i'm a bit confused.

actually she says she's confused about it and doesn't know what to believe; that what she reads in the bible contradicts what the elders say.. she said that if you die before armegeddon you become an angel, so i assume that they will never marry or have children?

if you and your current spouse both survive armegeddon you continue to be married and have children?.

the issue of resurrection lies with Jehovah God himself. he said in John 5:28&29 that those in his memorial tomb will be resurrected. It is very obvious that a jW who remain faithful till death will be resurrected but for other denominations, the bible says that there are only two roads, one leads to life and the other to death, surely on these roads, there are no branches, so it is either you are serving God faithfully and heed his admonition that we should not forsake the gathering of ourselves because there, he instructs us.

First of all welcome!! I know it took a lot of courage to post on this board. I remember my first posts. When I first started questioning some of the teachings of the WT, one of the first things that I researched

was about the "great crowd" in Revelation 7. I asked for Holy Spirit to guide me which even the NWT says "anyone" can do (Luke 11:11-13) and found that they were in heaven (in sight of the throne KIT).

You say there are only two roads, I agree with you. But Jesus was not talking about "denominations", he was saying that : "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through

me."John 14:6. ALL Christians, who believe in Jesus, are following the "road that leads to life" not just Jehovah's Witnesses. Did you read through Compound Complex' post? Please do. I know it is hard to read all that fine

print, but I know you will find it worth while. If it is too hard to read, copy and paste it to a Word document and enlarge it. This is one of the most comprehensive documents about this subject I have read.

I hope that you will investigate what is posted here and not just shrug it off and go on believing what you have been taught without investigating it at least. Ask for Holy Spirit to show you, so you know behond a

shadow of a doubt. If you believe your everlasting life depends on knowledge, please give it a chance.

I have always told my mother that I didn't know what was going to happen, that I trusted, that whatever God did, it would be good. In a silly way, it's like getting an airline ticket to some exotic place from a dear trusted friend, you don't know where, but you know it will be good. It's been paid for and you don't have to do anything but be loving, trusting and accept that ticket.

Thank you so much for finding and posting this comment. When I first started reading this, I thought it was your research. I was going to comment that you must

spend your life doing research. Obviously someone we know does.

This was hard to read for me in the small font, but I was rivetted.

It takes a lifetime to get all the JW stuff out of our heads and to sort out the real facts that the Bible is trying to tell us.

I am so glad we serve a God who doesn't expect us to know everything the Bible teaches and who doesn't judge us on our intelligence.

My Current Battle

ranting individuals need not reply.

i need encouragement and general advice, personal accounts etc.. am i a christian or am i not?

i've come to a point where i'm not sure whether or not i want to believe in anything, at the moment i'm confused as to whether i am a believer or whether i am someone recovering from indoctrination.. i feel that i've not had a 'pure' opportunity to decide if i want to be a believe and although the thought has been in the back of my mind, the conditioning has made me delay it and my current circumstances and poor health are forcing me to face it - i fear facing it will make me worse because its yet another thing i am not really mentally strong enough to deal with.. is it natural i fear what being an atheist means for me.

You see we all have to search our own hearts and minds as to what is best for us. If it is not going to church okay ,if going to church okay, being an athiest is somewhat difficult for me comprehend I don't grasp it, it is a complexity to me. That No, God doesn't exist? It just doesn't correlate or interact with me. But this is me.
However if it correlates with you then that is where you want to and need to be, Seek that which puts you in a place of tranquility and inner peace and that is what I wish for you, Peace and contentment.

What you said!! I think everyone has to find their own way. What may be right for me, may not be right for anyone else. It has to be what give you happiness. I know what we believe is not static. I have changed so many times over the 24+ years out of the WT. I may change again tomorrow. I just let God lead me.

Dawg, honey, you are right. We are all on a road. We are all at different places, but God loves us all and does not condemn us.

Studied? Each and every religion I've studied... none of them are all right and none are all wrong... but the mystery, the mystery of what makes life come into existence...thats what puzzles me... if for my buddy Elivelith, if she finds comfort in Jesus, if that makes her day go along better and she hurts no one by her beliefs, then who am I to judge.. but as for God... where is he, where was he when the long lines of people filled the chambers at Atshwitz...if I'm spelling that right...my answer?

Consider this: If man's spirit returns to God at death, then all those who died at Auschwitz are no worse off than they were. In fact, a lot better. I do believe that death sometimes is better than the life that would have been lived on earth. I cannot judge this because I do not know the future, but I believe God does. I have heard people condemn God for destroying whole nations such as Sodom and Gomorrah. Could it be possible that God removes people to take them to a place where they can be taught to live a better life? I believe that everything that God does is for good. I do believe that some may be punished forever, but not people who are not sure or who question, but people who are wicked and do not care about doing good and who literally turn their backs on God and goodness. I don't think people "fall" into everlasting punishment, but deliberately choose.

I really appreciated your post. Such good advice! It is so much better to take our time to form our thoughts and beliefs. I know that many believers feel that their way is the only way and try to "preach" or impose their way of believing on others. If Jesus is the true God, then I believe that it is presumptuous to think that we can change other people. He is God, He can convince in His own way. I have known of many "atheists" who have changed their minds during the last few minutes of their lives. Why? We can only know that when we get to that place.

Hubert: I feel this way too. Believing in God gives me hope. I don't think religion can add anything except maybe fellowship.

A calmer, more serene, moment in time.....

four weeks ago, my only child, my daughter, was asked to leave my home.

it was tough love.

she has spent the previous 3 years incarcerated.

What wonderful, caring parents you are! I think making your children take responsibility for their lives is the way it should be. If we let them live off us and take advantage, we teach them nothing.

By saying this, I do not mean that we should not help our children. We have two daughters living with us and we have helped raise their children. However, they did not get into drugs and push off

the responsibilty onto us. They worked and we were there for the kids. Joe is 80 and I am 76. They are teen agers now and we are so happy with the way they turned out. I know that you will feel that way too. It is a

hard road, but it is worth it.
