No. I have no reason to go back and they've already cost me dearly enough already.

Yes, that living a life as a JW would be HARD.
and because of their own silly unbiblical, unfounded & unnecessary rules & policies it certainly WAS.

Is there any bitterness between you and the one who brought you to the Org.
by JH indo you feel any additional bitterness from the brother or sister that gave you a bible study and expected you to remain a good jw.. althought i'm not df'd, the one that gave me a bible study that led to my baptism never calls, or comes over, although he is an elder today.. i feel plenty of bitterness from his part..

Yes towards my Bible study conductor. In the sense that once i was baptised he never bothered with me after that, he never came to visit, no phonecalls or anything. I got the impression he had a 'job done' sort of attitude and the real reason for his time & study was to earn himself some brownie points with his congregation.

Fallacy of the "Light gets brighter" Teaching
by rassillon inthis is by no means a complete discussion of the subject but i will start it with my thoughts and i hope those smarter than me will contribute.. the wt teaches that the changes in doctrine and their understanding of the scriptures over the years is because as we get nearer the end of this system the "light gets brighter" or god allows(?
) a better understanding.
this is based off the scripture proverbs 4:18 which states.

1 8 But the path of the righteous ones is like the bright light that is getting lighter and lighter until the day is firmly established.
Analysing this: the word 'path' suggests a journey in a direction so the journey could be a spiritual one in which things are being constantly reproved & adjusted, and the direction could be the JW faith and the 'day' that is firmly established could be the climax of Armaggeddon. So this scripture could support the JW concept of 'light'.
But notice what a different translation of the Bible the 'Revised Standard Version' says:
Prov 4:18: 'But the path of the righteous one is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day'.
Now this could be interpreted completely differently. Which begs the question: Has the Watchtower 'fiddled' with the translation of this verse to read in this way to support its own 'new/old light' doctrine?

Who still fears the big 'A'?
by lfcviking ini have been left for about 18 months now and am trying to get 'unindoctrinated' or 'unbrainwashed' or whatever is the correct term is.
but there still exists in me a considerable fear of 'armaggeddon'.
whether the jw teaching of 'armaggeddon' is true or not i am not sure, but such was their very powerful strong mental indoctrination of this event it has left me with what i think will be a permenant fear for the rest of my days.

So little knowledge
by grissom6471 inso many people here and so little knowledge of jehovah's witnesses.
there are still people here associating jehovah's witnesses with the watchtower society when that is not the case.
so many people look to the past not the future.

Why do you hold this fear, though?
Well 'lonleysheep' i don't really know, but all i can say is that its always there in my subconsious thoughts. Its maybe down to the JW's manipulative use of this scripture to achieve the end of instilling fear into you the impressionable mind, and hearing this repeated warning of the big 'A' over several years of association with them it gets firmly mentally embedded and is thus hard to get rid of.
