  Did God Change?

  i had a discussion with some greek orthodox members recently.

  i was pointing out the disparity between the brutal behavior of "gods people in the o.t.

  and the pacifistic way in which jesus was to have behaved in the n.t.. they accounted for this by explaining that god changed during that time.

  Sounds like the Hebrews got a bum deal - nearly every transgression results in death. It takes a very arrogant deity to demand such obedience and servatude.

  I never would have signed on the dotted line of that contract. Those Hebrews were a bunch of suckers for signing up - look where it left them, subject to racism, hatred, and never ending terrorist attacks for brutally stealing the land of the philistines. They got shafted by the "god of love".

  Reminds me of one of those "moral" stories where someone making a deal with the devil ends up in trouble.

  I don't know. I've been trying to get "normalcy" since August 9, 1998, the day I officially left the bOrg. The damn bastards branded me for life - I was born in it, third generation. I even moved 400 miles and they still have their hooks in me, through my family and my lack of social skills.

  What I wouldn't give for a normal life.
  

  You know the regular life where you have an inner circle of friends who you can trust. Family that loves you. Getting a phone call from someone who isn’t interested in your spiritual well being. Going over someone’s house for dinner and having the everyday “how’s life treating you” kind of conversion.

  other than the kingdom songs i`m sure we must have squeezed in some time to listen to the radio between territories and on the way to the mettings.. my musical tastes vary from classical to heavy head banging music,basically i like everything!i love the cult,rush,van halen,boston,etc anything from the 80`s retro era.. but my favourite song would be everything counts by depech mode and she sells sanctuary by the cult!.

  Elsewhere A Nice Guy ??????????????????

  recently "elsewhere" made a post about being overlooked due to the fact that he is a "nice guy".

  well, today in chat he quite gleefully dropped his trousers for a lilacs and ladonna treatment, aka....waxing!!!!.

  after he was as smooth as a baby's bottom and his little "parts" were scoured of any hair, he quite openly admitted quivering at the mere mention of mine and lilac's names.. now......what happened to so-called mr nice guy .

  Time passing by

  i have been reading some posts about dubs being out in service and then it hit me.

  watching them walk past is like watching time passing by.

  seeing as how getting in the time is all they are really concerned with anyway.

  1. Spreading the kingdom news in order to save as many people as possible from destruction at Armageddon.

  2. Get in as much time on their time sheet as possible while talking to as few people as possible.

  haha, I remember when I was a teen thinking that either I get married or never get any. I can't help but wonder how many marriages were entered just so they could have sex.

  I can think of several marriages where they started out “playing house” and ended up miserable.

  im a liceinced electrician now working in wireless communication installations.i love the electrical industry,there is so much to learn and so many different things do work with and technology is always changing.never a boaring day especially when we are working in the office buildings downtown,chicks everywhere!.
