  i knew of 1 person that should've been reported to the authorities for fooling around with his sisters when he was an older teen and they were much younger.

  it was hushed up by the elders, as this was considered a very prominent family.

  the allegations were made probably 20 years ago, well before i was ever in that hall.

  i guess many of you wondered where i have been off to again ... mylast post was about my hospital stay and now marco is in the hospital since monday in critacal conditon, requiring a quadruple by pass.. the most important thing right now is to make sure they stablize him and the hospital has run many tests to see if he can take the strain of this operation.. he saw the neurologist (marco had a history of brain aneurysms) and the neurologist has given the okay and now he needs to have a memory test from the occupational therapist.. if his memory is not good they can't do the surgery as in the case of marco being 78 yrs old and having early dementia it poses a problem.

  apparently with bypass surgery it can lead to full blown memory lose.

  and this is my major worry.

  Okay, now I need to know which hall you're talking about, 'cause this is just sounding TOO familiar....!!

  Yes...my ex-husband....

  At least two of my ex-husband's brothers... (Though, I could honestly believe it's not just three but five of the seven boys...)

  Plus my friend's [still] husband........She and I were in the same congregation when she was single, but she moved after she married him. We stayed in touch...and she told me he would paw her all the time and take advantage of the fact that her anti-depression medication would knock her out at night... [You know...the sleep rape thing....]

  I'm ashamed to say, she used to hold ME up as an example and tell herself that if I could do it then she could do it. [stay with the husband/ the Org. and 'put up with it' as a good Christian wife 'should'] ...That conversation was a red flag for me, about how bad MY situation was--since I always considered hers really bad...... Last I knew, they were still married...and she was still miserable.......

  One that I didn't know personally, but was just like the story of my friend with the anti-depressant medication: One of my closest JW friends told me one of her old JW friends divorced her husband for the same thing (unscripturally, of course).

  So...that makes one that I know firsthand...and two that I know from HIS mouth...two more that I know from two other people's mouths...and two that I have reason to suspect (brothers of the one I know firsthand....

  So that makes FIVE I KNOW of...and TWO MORE I SUSPECT........... total 7 ?

  I apologize for the length/ rambling nature of these posts, but I think the details need to be well understood in order for feeback to be applicable, etc.... Plus, just saying it felt better--!! But I honestly don't want to leave it hanging here, so REALLY need dialogue about how to proceed from here........................

  alright my techie friends..here is a new puzzle for you....i knew i had heard there were 27,000 known pedophiles..i thought it was from jr brown ..it still might be..alot of my buds on the board could`nt find the info that would support what i thought i had heard..i found some...go to google search engine..type in "number of jehovah`s witness pedophiles"..the number 27,000 comes up a few times in the list of subjects..you guys are much better at getting into the information than me.....sic-em!!.....lol!

  let's say that half are women and half are men.

  1 in every 102 JW males is registered at bethel as a pedophile.

  Actually...aren't there waaaaaaay more JW women than men?

  [Those half and half estimates apply only to general population birth statistics...not to religious affiliation/ involvement.]

  That would make the ratio of JW males registered at bethel as pedophiles waaaaaaaaaay higher than 1:102.

  [Like 4 out of 102, maybe? ...If there are four times the number of women than men, for example. --I don't know exact figures on that.]

  Does anyone know the actual ratio of JW women to JW men in the 'Truth?'
