if you believe you are anointed, please give the details on how you came to this conclusion.
this is not a judgemental post, so all those with negative comments please keep them to yourself.
this is a quest for facts and answers, nothing more.

In my circle of 'charismatic' friends, the worship leader is annointed, the speaker is annointed, certain prayers are annointed....in reference to 'Spirit filled."
I go to a Baptist church so I don't hear that word much, sad to say. But, I do believe the exact same as Axal because scripture teaches when we are annointed when we know God's Son and believe in him.
i found this website a few days ago, and ive stayed up until 3 and 4 a.m. every night since reading the all-too-familiar stories.
i applaud you for sharing your stories and being so open and caring to others who venture onto this site.
i wish id had you 9 years ago when i was dfd.
Thank you for your story. It is always encouraging to read someone elses route of exit and know that there is still hope out there. Keep sharing and God will use this situation to help others get out. Believe.
examine 1 peter 4:14 and john 15:17-21 and consider: can you name any of jehovah's witnesses who has ever been persecuted or reproached on account of the name of jesus?
please think very carefully about what the answer means, in light of plainly stated scripture.. i would love to see a discussion about this that includes comments from jws and apologists.. respectfully,.
auldsoul.
Nope, not a one!!!
i've had in the past studied a little about the bible with jws but have yet decided to be baptised.. i've just read lavenders' moving letter to her son and her love and well being for him is very obvious.
i do like the bible teachings very much and to this day i'm very interested in the end of the system of things which will very soon come to fruition; i'm a very strong believer, however i must stipulate to all, in retrospect i'm not sinless.
one of the posters says that jw's ask you to do a liitle bible study with them, attend one of their meetings and when you get baptised you have to do exactly what you are instructed or else.
I have 2 employees who are both jw. One has been raised as a dub and the other is newly baptised and has only studies for 2 yrs.
The new gal occasionally does not go to the meeting on Sunday a.m. and doesn't catch much slack. Also, she wore an eyebrow ring up until she was Baptised. She also smoked. Everything changed for her once baptised. As she learns more she becomes more accountable and more will be asked of her. If they laid all the 'rules' down now, she would most likely run.
Without even looking a doctrine, this is socially a cult. If you are interested, you can contact the Christian Research Institute for information about the reasons why this is believed to be a cult. There is also a book called Kingdom of the Cults written my Walter Martin several yrs ago.
I agree. You really should be very shy of making any major committments.
I know if you were to tell them you were on this site they would tell you everyone here is apostate and not to listen to them because it is full of lies. The truth is, 'the Truth' is being exposed here and you should stay and learn from people who really have lived this life.
we are going to be building our first home this fall or next spring.
kind of depends on the finances because all the prep work with the septic, utilities and retaining walls has really put a dent in our savings.. in the meantime, i did a little quick analysis on our spending habits and found that we spend on average about $1000.00 on food a month for a family of 6. one of them is a baby.. so, we need to bite the bullet and draw up a budget because this is ridiculous!.
so, can anyone offer advice on the simplest way to do this?
Thanks for the website. I will check it out.
As for the bologna and casseroles, my hubby would have a stinkin' fit! He actually is a meat lover and often cooks his own meals because he gets in late and prefers to cook for himself. I actually cook well and this offends me but that is another story.
When he ranted and raved about the food bill I thought to myself, "Quit buying beer, wine and $60-$100 worth of meat in huge lots!" I didn't say it though because he needs to figure it out for himself.

Any real help would be greatly appreciated as I don't even know what 'normal' is for food cost. I just buy it.
