I believe in God the Father, his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Three distinct personages, One is essence and One in Nature.....ahhhh.....the Trinity
so....do any of you believe in some person in the sky floating around called jesus?
or having a relationship with that person (or god) who is in some other dimension apparantly?
being a witness, they stressed so much having a relationship with "jehovah" and all that.

if there is no god, does this make us the most intelligent animal?.
JH,
My answer is for those who don't believe as well. I understand throwing something out there for a thought provoking thread. Just couldn't help but jot my scattered thoughts down.
if there is no god, does this make us the most intelligent animal?.
Can I go on a cyber rampage for just a moment?
The core of this thinking really de-values us as individuals.
If I am merely an animal, and am just a happenstance that came into being because of something called the evolutionary process, then:
I am not special, I am not created, I don't have a purpose, I am not intricately made, I am not unique, I hold NO value or worth, I am not an individual,
I could go on but I am sure you get the point.
I am a youth worker and it is amazing to see adults scratch their heads and wonder why there is more depression, more suicide, more cutting, more anorexia, more substance abuse, more more more......
Our children are a product of a few generations being told they were NOT created and intricately designed by a loving God who cares about them, knows every hair on their head, gave them a special personality of their own, breathed life into them and called it GOOD!
These kids have nothing to live for when they are told they are nothing more than an animal.
Animals act upon their instincts....and we wonder why these kids just can't seem to keep it in their pants? Why? Because they are being told they are nothing more than animal. Girls are selling themselves short when all the while they are sooooo special and so loved by a God who knows their deepest thoughts, desires, and hurts.
I see a lot of tragedy coming out of this teaching and it pains me that people sit back and wonder what happened to our youth today.
Stop teaching the money bs and tell them they are created by a loving God who desires to know them intimately!
Okay.....I'm off the box now.
i have not tried to hide my past as a victim of this, but this is always an area that i have to fight my personally feelings as to what should be done to child molesters.
they ruin lives, scar an individual for a lifetime!.
should they be incarcerated for life, castrated, turned over to the family member(s), public humiliation like a branding everywhere they go, tortured and or death penality?.
It's a tough one because there are people that have to register now for a 'crime' that was committed with a consentual partner.
ie. A woman I know has a son who was dating a minor for a couple of years. He was about 19 or 20 and she was about 16 or so. The parents got mad about something and said they didn't want him seeing their daughter anymore. Mind you, they had been together and sexually active for a few years.
Well, the parents turned him in. He did time and now has to register as a 'sex offender' wherever he goes.
For the sick pigs that harm innocent children....castration. Blow that baby right off!
# ziploc bags - male, because they hold everything in,but you can always see right through them.. .
# copier - female, because once turned off, it takes a while to warm up.
it is an effective reproductive device when the right buttons are pushed.
Very cute. Got a chuckle.
okay, i decided to bring my ficus tree, ivy/combo plant home with me from the office.
my daughter and i transplanted it and began to clean the leaves that were pretty dusty.. then, it happened.
i started to notice white circles at the stem of each leaf....sometimes 2 of them.. i believe they are mealy bugs.. does anyone here have any suggestions?
Today was day 2 of my creepy crawler day. I bought 3 new pots and more soil. I did find out these bugs are mealy bugs and let me tell you, they look like small bits of cotton.
First things first, I transplanted and pruned the trees. Tomorrow I am going to attack the things with a q-tip and some spray.
By the time we build our new home these plants should look good. It'll take a while because they haven't really been taken care of in years. They've been in survival mode.
Corned Beef, Cabbage and Potatoes.......
I am Black Irish.....if there really is such a thing.
Anyone else?
i'm shocked!
if you remember my experience, in a nutshell, basically my ex-bethelite ex pioneer husband cheated on me with an older "worldly woman" from his job and left me suddenly.
i had no idea that we had trouble with our marriage, however, when i discovered the love letters from the other woman, he moved out, and a week after that, i received divorce papers.
When she suggested you see a therapist, did she by any chance recommend hers?
Sounds to me like everything she is saying about you fits her own feet. She's probably had every word said to her at some point and she is just rehearsing it back to you.
Hurting People Hurt....I'd stay away from her and really focus on healing.
Your husband will reap what he has sown. He is with a woman who sounds pretty wicked and as much as it hurts you, you have to try real hard to not think about all the ugliness over and over again.
I'm really, really sorry this happened to you.
I hope you have a really close girlfriend you can lean on.

Does anyone here have any suggestions? I read to buy Insecticidal Spray. Any success with this?
Ideas please.....I feel like I need to shower. Yuck!
i just got back from a concert near my town.
if there are any of you out there that enjoy a modern approach (youthful...lol) to worship....check this out!.
these guys are canadian and very, very good!
Christian bands/artists I'm currently listening to and like are Leeland, Bebo Norman, Chris Tomlin and The David Crowder Band amongst others | |
+++++++++++++++++++++++++ Pubsinger....I LOVE these guys! I got to see Bebo here in Seaside Oregon and I was actually able to meet David Crowder himself 2 1/2 yrs ago in the Atlanta airport. He leads worship with his awesome flair at all the National Youth Worker's Conventions. Much respect for him as a leader. Perhaps the term "Rock-n-Roll" isn't the best one to use. I'm not talking about Ozzy kinda rock. These guys have short hair and are kind of young. I'm old enough to have to ask what kind of music it is actually. It's a sad day...I'll be 38 this month. Those birthdays come faster every year.. sound familiar |
