Rainbows are usually associated with gay communities/people because of the multi-colored flag that are displayed at the Gay PRIDE parades all over the world. Even though it has NOTHING to do with a real rainbow, mostly because a rainbow only has 7 colors I think and some of the colors on the "gay flag" are not colors in the rainbow, it's considered by many to look like a rainbow. I am not certain, but I think the multi-colors in the "gay flag" is to represent that gay people come from all nations, races (skin colors), heritages, etc. justahuman - but super nonetheless

Hiring a new fellow today and they must be white.
by hambeak inas some of you know i am a manager of an auto repair place that does it all.. the owner is ethiopian and hates blacks.
i had a great guy there who is black and did a great job.
the owner absolutely was rude and nasty to him calling him an animal and ordered him fired because he was slow in getting things done.. i am caught in the middle cuz i need my job to pay the bills so no more black or mexican workers just white folks even though most i have seen are not motivated or see something that has to be done so now i am a baby sitter and have to let them know what has to be done every minute of the day.. oh well such is the life working for foreigners here in the usa..

Well, I thought that by census definition, ethiopians are not considered blacks. All of North Africans and Middle Eastern people are considered white/caucasian by the U.S. Gov. So, maybe he thinks he's better because of that. justahuman - but super nonetheless

WW!
by thebiggestlie inokay this is just a short little observation.
the jws often point to wwi as a sign that the last days had started in october of 1914 when christ was supposedly enthroned as king in heaven and begun his parousia (or his presence as theyd lead one to believe).
now the political unrest that led up to wwi had already been brewing for a while but it wasnt until28th of june 1914, gavrilo princip, a bosnian serb student, shot and killed the archduke of austria franz ferdinand.

It is true that WWI started before the enthronement of Jesus as King in the Heavens and the cast of Satan from Heaven according to the JW's date. BUT it could be argued by any JW's that Satan was always allowed to do whatever he wanted on the earth. He was also allowed to persecute True Christians during the "weed" and "wheat" cohabitation. And although Satan may not have known his being cast down from Heaven was imminent, he's always been doing bad things, turning man against man, causing wars, etc.

Who is really considered a Jew?
by Justahuman24 ini've been told by a lot of jewish people - and have read on-line too - that a jewish person is considered jewish only if his/her mother was jewish; that once "jewishness" is passed on through the mother.
now if that is true, then how come the jews consider solomon, moses' sons, david and others mentioned in the bible - and who were important characters too - to be jewish?
ruth wasn't jewish and she was david's grandmother.

That's what I thought; that it must be historical difference and that it's NOW that they consider someone jewish only if their mother was jewish. But I mean, why would they change that? No matter what, the person will be half jewish even if the mother is jewish but the father is not, genetically speaking and therefore shouldn't make any difference.
And yes, Ruth was a Moabite. And the Moabites were related to the Jewish people. But so was Job. He was a Chaldean but he's not considered Jewish.

Now if that is true, then how come the Jews consider Solomon, Moses' sons, David and others mentioned in the Bible - and who were important characters too - to be Jewish? Ruth wasn't Jewish and she was David's grandmother. David is considered Jewish. I don't quite understand it.

Did Jesus die in behalf of Satan?
by Aaac indid jesus die also in behalf of his brother satan and all the fallen angels?
someone said, this has been a jw teaching a long ago.
-
Justahuman24
No. And Jesus and Satan are NOT "brothers". The Bible says that once the angels fell from grace, there was no turning back; there was no forgiveness for them. And as far as I know, the WTS never taught that.

How many Languages
by buffalosrfree inquick question for ya, in genesis it gives the children of noahs boys and talks about their nations and their languages.
however, in chapter 11 of genesis it speaks of all mankind speaking only one language, how can that be if they each had their own tongue/language?
also how could light be created in genesis chapter one before the great luminaries were created to cause light.
-
Justahuman24
They all have their own explanation.
Languages - it's obvious from the reading that chapter 10 is just a general statement but the following chapter gives background. So, the part about "all having their own language" just because it appears before the "all spoke one language" doesn't mean it happened first. It's obvious it's not in chronological order. Well, not all of Genesis. It's not a chronological description.
About the ark - well, it was a big ark. and based on the way it was designed, it was made to last and endure the waves and flood.
photosynthesis - in this regard, I do think the WTS has it right. Light was created on the first day but reading Genesis, it gives the impression that the sun was created before the 4th day. Besides, there are many suns and moons and the Bible only focuses on ours.
