Every elder is different, some are Zealots and others have more wisdom from experiece, it is a shame that the unity that they brag about doesn't exist. I agree with CoCo, that is how I would have handled it.

Do you find the forum addictive?
by avidbiblereader inhow many find that they need or want to be on the forum at least once a day?
do you like keeping up with fellow posters and friends or do like being able to give your thoughts without the fear of being criticized?
i look at some of the amounts that some have posted wow and i am no better for only being here less than a month, it is a great place to talk and get loads of wisdom from others on a variety of subjects, thanks everyone for the thoughtful expressions and heartfelt posts.. abr.

The Ice is melting
by orangefatcat inwe are all aware that major occurances are happening in this earth and the heavens that are causing scientist, biologist, epidemologist are all in a quandry as to why a large chunck of ice seperated from the canadian artic ice shelf the size of which is the equal of eleven thousand football fields.
beyond belief.. what a great concern for mankind and the earth.
the global warming, the ozone layer enlarging asteroids, and whatever else they can think of is definetly destroying our planet or at least changing the global warming.

I read a lot of article on the environment and all of them tell you in govt studies or whatever that the earth is definitely warming. I believe it and you cannot hide from it. It is all interesting when the rich or famous get involved in a particular issue, this is one that many are getting serious about. all the money in the world will be to no avail if you don't have a home to enjoy it on. I also see the differences in the climate since I was a young boy. We have virtually no winters and the summers are definitely hotter. It is happening and no I am not full of______ and my head is not in the sand. REV 11:18, it is happening!!!

I believe that it could become addictive and one must watch how much time they spend on this site, I think that it becomes more addictive in the beginning for many and then hopefully it calms down. It is like I want to get caught up with all the subjects and see how people are doing.

How to get a scriptual divorce?
by helncon injust wondering on how it is possible to get a scriptual divorce as my dad needs to get one but as much research done i can't see how he can get one but he says he has spoken to some elders and that they have said it can be granted but on what grounds?.
i know if you have committed adultery and extreme cases disertion but other that these is there any way else.. you see my mum basically up and left my dad and they have reconciled once but now its definately over and have a legal divorce, so would disertion come under this catorgory?
also my mum has battled mental illness(mainly major depression) for as long as i can remember can he do it on the grounds of mental capacity?.

they had this program on the other day, on the ten biggest threats to mankind and the planet earth.
surprisingly, none of the items on the list were god destroying mankind or the earth, so that must be further evidence that the witnesses were wrong, go to college now and retire.

From mans standpoint I would put global warming but I feel that Christ will come back and deal with mankind before we see the end of mankind or the planet, good question though.
