if an average congregation coughs up $3500 per year just on mags alone... and there are 114,416 congs world-wide; that would mean that jw suckers are feeding the ravenous maw of the org by $400,456,000 (heading towards half a billion dollars) each year.

this does not include other literature, or ...money so cleverly pledged in perpetuity for khs that the punters will never own even if they pay for them and build them, not to mention the vast income from property appreciation and major stock investments... and then there is the shameless raiding of family inheritances plus other sundry monies gifted to them..

Out of all of those books, I liked "Mankind's Search for God." However, it appears to me that this book is incredibly obscure and no one recalls studying it during the old Book Study format. Perhaps the Watchtower Society didn't want us to survey other religions and question theirs.

I have to admit, I enjoyed "What Does the Bible Really Teach" and "Young People Ask" books despite waking up to TTATT.

In my congregation there was a "brother" who raped his biological younger sister who still gets to comment at meetings. Sadly, his sister committed suicide after confronting her parents for letting the rapes happen. She was in the "truth" too. After all of this damage this jackass caused, he's still welcomed with open arms. I can't believe that they let a registered sex offender (and he is registered) be in the vicinity of children.

My JW uncle is a sex offender too. He raped a child. Unfortunately, I think that he is inactive which means that he could be one of us, skimming this site. I shudder at this. The XJWs are a pleasant, upstanding bunch.

i'm just venting here because obviously, i can vent to no one else because i am still in the congregation.. jws as a whole do nothing to help the poor, the homeless, the sick, the hungry, though some individual jws do.

because they are too busy giving to the gb.

I'm just venting here because obviously, I can vent to no one else because I am still in the congregation.

JWs as a whole do nothing to help the poor, the homeless, the sick, the hungry, though some individual JWs do. Why is that? Because they are too busy giving to the GB. All they do is go in service with their carts. And have their donations pay for pedophile lawsuits.

Side story: I set up a crowdfunding for a project. True, not too many have donated, but the ones who did were all NON-JWs. None of my JW friends donated. Not even my family, including the worldly ones, but they are cheap bastards considering the minimum that I was asking was $1.

What do you think of this? Perhaps I am mad at the world for not helping with my vision.

i mentioned this to my very close friend (still a believing jw) a couple of weeks ago, just to see if she had heard about it.

she asked for a link to check it out so i sent her one.

she looked into it and predictably concluded in was a smear campaign against the jws and she wasn't going to fall for what satan and the apostates were trying to do, we don't know the whole story, and the elders would never allow such a thing to happen, blah, blah, blah....anyone else in the u.s. try to bring this up to friends or family?
