took some lorazapam last night. So tired of not sleeping. Lorazapam daze today. Went to see friends and work on some books. Had a good taco dinner and two g-and-t drinks and a hit of you know what. Came home. Feel mellow, will go to bed soon. To sleep, I hope. If you go to bed and fall asleep right away, well I'm so jealous. I don't go to sleep until daybreak which seriously interferes with a normal life.

Long time listener first time caller
by Defianttruth ini would like to thank everyone who is a part of this community.
i have been abused by this billion dollar evil religion since i was born.
i am now in my late thirties and have been battling depression issues over my former abuses by this nongoverment organization.

Welcome, dear one. I couldn't read all your post. Too painful. I'm glad you got out, and that you and your wife have a happy little family.

Visit to Austrailia
by exwhyzee inwe're trying to rebuild our lives after leaving the org, have new experiences and create new memories for ourselves.
we're planning out our trip to hawaii, nz, austrailia and tahati in february.
i thought i'd see if anyone on here could give us some advice on places to see/stay/eat in brisbane and thereabouts, as well as places to steer clear of.

I've been to Papeete twice. I'd recommend taking a boat over to Moorea and staying there a couple of days. It's beautiful, much prettier than Papeete which reminded me of Tijuana in places.

Make your own bathroom plunger caddy -- cheap and easy.
by FatFreek 2005 inafter you finish that nasty bathroom task, put the plunger where it can dry out without messing up your floor.
an empty one gallon milk jug and a pair of scissors are all you'll need.
oh -- don't forget using the magic marker, an artistic task your kids would enjoy.

Same with the plunger -- it gets washed and bleached before being put away.

Who puts a dirty toilet brush on the floor? I bleach mine and let it drain dry before I put it on the floor. The thought of leaving the toilet brush dirty is gross and disturbing.

Welcome, dear. You're going through a process. It takes time. Your mind will settle down eventually and you'll choose what is best for you. My advice in the meantime: keep up with your education. Move to another town someday, distance can give you a lot of perspective. Don't abandon your atheist friend, who has lost his family and friends now. Take your time.
JWs will definitely use whatever pressure they can to make you toe the line. Don't let them run your life for you. That was the mistake I made. I didn't get out until I was older, and I'm sorry now I didn't have the insight and guts to do it earlier.

I moved into a seniors-only apartment complex. I started getting SS payments. I relaxed completely for the first time in my life.I worked four or six days last year -- can't remember whether it was two or three weekends -- made $2300 in addition to my SS payments.
Finished a writing project, started another one.
Looking forward to some traveling in January and February. Haven't thought much beyond that.
Happy new year Terry!
