good for you, LouBelle. Damn religion.
I have a close friend who made the same reply when the same thing happened to her. The family wanted help with her mother, who has shunned her for 40 years. My friend told them to ask the wtbts for help.
.....after 8 years of us being disfellowshipped.
the made contact through my aunt who is still 'in' - as in she has faded but is not disfellowshipped and will pop to a meeting now and again - she does this for my grans' sake.. the contact was from my aunt and uncle (he's an elder) these were the 2 witnesses used against me in my judicial case.
they contacted my aunt and said to forward the message onto us.

my wife got the following message on facebook.
(she is an artist) screams scam to me but hell...every artist wants more exposure dont they?
i think they are just name dropping in the hope of what?.
they can't afford to pay, and want you to work for the hope of pay if everything works out. I've had offers like that -- they want you supporting their start-up.
when i got home today from work my wife showed me a 5 page letter from our oldest son.
he basically said he does not what anything to do with us because of all the wrong things we did as parents to him and his brother.
he blames us for not being there for him and we are toxic parents.
Complicated. I wonder what your son wants you to do? All you can do is apologize sincerely, but now his life is his own to make or break. You may never have the relationship you want with your son, but perhaps he'll come to see that all of us were screwed from the get-go and it's up to him to make his life better.
I finally realized that about my parents -- they were screwed from the start by their parents. On the one side JW craziness, on the other side terrible violent alcoholics. And they didn't know how to get out of the cycle so my sisters and I had a pretty painful childhood. It was bad, I can't change that, but I'm not angry about it any more, I can see the whole picture. I'm glad I didn't have kids, though. I wouldn't have been much of a parent, as I didn't get my mind straightened out until later in life.
Anyway, who wants to go on thinking about the bad things forever? Look forward, take some action to have a happier life, try not to do to others what was done to you.
yup, some folks do get drunk on words
some folks get drunk and then start posting
some folks are just crazy

I find it slightly annoying that all true believers think atheists are bitter. Not bitter, just awake. The only thing we all really have in common is that we used to believe the wtbts bullshit. Now that we don't we have all moved on, in different directions. I am shocked that anyone would get out of one religion and just segue into another one. But, it's none of my business what all of you believe.
Thanks for sharing -- very interesting history

wikipedia: On June 8, 2012, Kamelot founder and guitarist, Thomas Youngblood, announced in an interview that he kept in contact with Roy after Roy's departure. Thomas stated Roy is in good health, very happy, and has quit the music business. Roy is working and remains in Norway with his family. [ 6 ]
of all of these different gods...and the idea that i've got to 'respect' your beliefs just because you 'feel' them.. i wish all of these gods would all go to some mysterious island in the bermuda triange, and fight it out...tournament style...until just one of them is standing.. then, he/she/it can bring it's ass back here and i can just ignore that one..
Sorry. Evidently I killed your thread. And your post was SO funny!
