"Albert Edward George Charles Philip Louis" ought to cover it pretty well. They like to have a lot of names.

That is darned cute. Thanks for sharing! BTW, cats are very good swimmers. They mostly don't like water, but if necessary they can swim quite well.

They are celebrities, so folks are interested. Me, I was more interested in that little blanket the baby was wrapped in. Did you take a look at it? It looked like a hand-knit lace blanket. Would have taken hours and hours to knit, small needles and fine thread, and it is very well done. I think I heard that someone in New Zealand knitted it as a gift from NZ for the baby. So, probably wool. It looked as though it was plain stockinette stitch with a wide lace border. I bet someone will figure out the pattern and it will be available online soon -- it's one of the cool things about knitting. You can reverse engineer the knitting by looking carefully at the garment or blanket and "reading" the stitches.

I think you need a remote control device for that. You point it at the television and push the buttons to change channels.

You atheist really annoyed me
by confusedandalone inwhen i first came to this site.
whenever i would try to talk about somethign from the bible that the jw's got wrong or reason on a scripture that had so much feeling you would stomp all over it.
talking about "flying spaghetti gods" and laugh at what seemed to be my expense and then leave the thread never to return and add any substance.

but whether it is really important if I know
from the OP. I relate to that -- it was one of the conclusions I came to, too, on my journey toward rationality. I realized one day it doesn't matter whether I believe or not, belief doesn't change reality. I realized it didn't matter whether or not I could know for certain about god. I decided to just get on with life. Eventually I came to another realization -- that those things that ARE proveable and knowable, stuff scientists in all fields have learned and shared, make it extremely unlikely that god exists. All the different gods that people believe in are just reflections of themselves.
As for challenging the beliefs of others, I mostly don't unless they insist on preaching. If you bring up a subject, I have the right to ask questions. I'm not personally attacking anyone, just asking questions about the beliefs they have preached to me. If you don't want an atheist to challenge what you believe, quit preaching about it to them. Or ignore them.

Tree Hugging
by still thinking intree hugging now scientifically validated .
die hard conservatives love to disparage liberals as tree huggers, but it has been recently scientifically validated that hugging trees is actually good for you.
research has shown that you don't even have to touch a tree to get better, you just need to be within its vicinity has a beneficial effect.. in a recently published book, blinded by science, the author matthew silverstone, proves scientifically that trees do in fact improve many health issues such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (adhd), concentration levels, reaction times, depression and other forms of mental illness.

garbage as far as any proof goes. But, I love being aorund trees, I live right next to a national forest, surrounded by mountains with loads of trees. I think the most beautiful thing there is is a green tree against blue sky.

So I Went back to my old Kingdom Hall Today...
by cofty in...because it's now an art gallery.. it was really strange to have a look around the building and see what they have done with it.
a lot of the old kh features are still there.
they have kept the old platform, it gets used as a music venue on occasions.. i went up on the platform and faced the hall to bring back memories of the hundreds of times i stood there giving talks.. they have quite a few of the old chairs and the magazine/literature counter is still there but it has been moved beside the stage and painted.. all those huge windows have been restored and the place is full of light.. you can see a lot of pictures at their website, they have called it "the berwick watchtower".. the owner asked my wife and i if it was our first visit - hahaha.

well, I was sure when I read your title that you had some good reason for going there, and hadn't suddenly lost your mind! Art gallery is a much better use of the building. Sounds like fun, actually.

My goodness, go find all the local senior housing and get on their waiting lists. Move into a nice comfortable apartment as soon as you come to the top of the list. If it's HUD-financed, the rent is very reasonable. I'm assuming you're in the USA, by the way. But I'm sure this kind of thing is available in other countries, too. Then you could afford wifi -- and will be much more comfortable. Ask your step-daughter to help you find a place.
