we'll all have regrets but what do you fear yours might be?
I told my younger sister no funeral for me, no point in wasting money on a coffin or grave. Just lose my ashes under a rose bush somewhere and forget about it.
Although it would be fun to have a headstone that says, "What are you looking at?" or "You're next." Or, maybe, "piss off, can't you see I'm trying to sleep?"
so i am at a loose end tonight.
i am not going to the meeting and sitting on the back row looking repentant no way!.
here are some options... care to add some if you wish, help me to decide.. 1. go to the meeting and sit in the middle, reading "einstein and religion" paperback, go in early and stay after the prayer.
Well, when I was first out of the org., still a young woman, I did a lot of running around. This was just before we all found out about AIDS. I had a really good time, but eventually decided it wasn't really all that safe and wasn't really my personality, so I quit running around and got married. Should have kept running around, but you know -- you win some, lose some.
Don't entirely throw caution to the winds, but do have a good time!

I remember being so bored I could scream. Eventually I couldn't sit that long, took laps around the outside of the KH during meetings to prevent screaming.
i just got done with another visit at my home with two elders and even though i tried to say very little they took anything they could as a disagreement with them as enough to say they may call a jc meeting after they talk to the rest of the elder body.
so since they are planning on dfing me any way, i'm wondering if i should just write a letter or go through with their meeting?.

well me and ldrnomo are going to my sisters tomorrow.
i am making gluten free pumpkin pie and for hors d vores i am making "devil on horseback" and artichoke hearts gratin.
all are pretty easy to make, the pie crust is store bought.

my wife's brother died and an old friend i have known for years died also.
they both were within a few years of my age.
kind of scares me.. there were several others my wife knew died last week too.. ken p..

a thread on another forum reminded me of a letter i wrote to the person that went to the elders and started the proceedings to have me disfellowshipped.
i stopped believing in the religion when i was 25 but continued going for about ten years.
i finally started to fade at 35, but about 6 months after i had stopped going to meetings, a person wrote a letter to the elders about my website, which at the time was anonymous.

I can imagine the churches kicking and screaming and hanging on with their fingernails over this! Woohoo, tax the bastards! Free ride is over, or at least it ought to be.
i live in a seniors-only apartment complex.
management has a tendency to patronize us, which is interesting and rather entertaining.
today we had our annual t-day dinner for the seniors, catered by a local church.
Oh well, it's fun to joke about it.
