This is the sort of thing that put the kibosh on god for me. It's amazing we haven't been blown off the earth before now, with all the threats. I'm not going to get excited about it -- if that volcano blows, we're all toast, so why worry? Same thing for an asteroid hitting the earth. Not going to worry.

They all laughed when I insisted that the Yellowstone caldera was a threat...
by Nathan Natas instrangely enough, jesus never warned that "there will be wars and rumors of wars, but if the yellowstone caldera blows, we're toast.".
...and jesus' composite bride through the pages of the watchtower, never suggested that deeply-dipped dubs ought to move out of the area downwind of yellowstone, lest they be transformed in the twinkling of an eye into crispy monoliths.. but up here in the uadna orbiting space platform, things are different.
we're rational.

And of course -- a familiar American western version:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4JiXtZ16KQ
The melody is like the British traditional song. Cab Calloway's St. James Infirmary has similar words, but the poor "rake" in his version is a woman. I think I like Cab Calloway's best, although I grew up singing Streets of Laredo along with lots of other western songs.

Which is believed to have come from this old British ballad. This isn't a good version, but you can hear the words clearly

Confused and alone -- we called them date beetles in Palm Springs, but they are just giant flying roaches. I could handle scorpions and vinegaroons, but I hated those damn giant roaches. My husband said he learned to recognize the particular scream that meant he needed to come running with his shoe in his hand.

Your #4 about telling JW relatives the truth is my favorite. I have come to appreciate direct communication, honesty and authenticity. I've come to appreciate it when someone tells me "like it is," and I'm always working on being more direct myself.
That's what I like about your threads, beyond the information and education, it's that you are authentic in all you say -- that appeals to me.
