  pbs has been really boring all week, another week of begathons.

  i dislike their pretense that their programming isn't commercial, while they show commercials for their sponsors like any other television station.

  i watched through a long commercial for a car, for instance, that was just like a car commercial on any other channel, before they went back to declaring with deep sincerity that public television is "supported by viewers like you.

  I think the gov funding should be cut completely. They will either have to improve thier programming enough to sell ads or disapear. Without competition all you will ever get is mediocrity.

  i have been a fan of rush since thier first album.

  the single "far cry" certainly has thier trademark guitar sound, complex and powerful.

  Natural remedies

  over the last year, i've been exploring the use of herbs and supplements...hey, i'm gettin' old, and i need all the help i can get!

  so, here's what i've tried (in addition to general vitamin supplements like b, c, and some other selected minerals):.

  I find it completely rediculous that people are advising us to read up on the side affects and interactions of herbs. Yes it is good advice but I would add that it is far more important to read about the synthetic prescriptions that doctors sell to you for the pharmecuetical industry.

  I am always amazed that people will blindly take a prescription(s) without ever reading the whole laundry list of interactions and side affects. I have experienced some terrible side affects from prescription meds but as of yet not one from vitamin, mineral or herbal supplements.

  BTW, Stephen Barrett of Quackwatch has been sued many times for slander and false accusations. He claims to be an expert on many different subjects that he knows little or nothing about. When he gets hauled into court he loses quit often. He works out of his basement and slams anything that is not traditional western medicine. He is worse then a quack himself in my book.

  regarding your significant other, would you care if they went to a strip club or not?

  You could easily spend much more going to a ball game or concert. Most men I know get bored going to them after awhile. My wife still hires strippers for my birthday or our anniversary. Because there is humiliation of me involved it's more for her entertainment then mine.

  For a mature, happily commited couple ,strip clubs can be a healthy stimulus for relationships. My wife has gone several times and never felt the need to ask me. Most likely because I AM NOT HER DAD. And in turn I never asked when me and the guys went to one.

  Who wants to spend the rest of thier life with a "parent"? If you are allowed into a strip club it is because you are an adult and deserve to be treated as such by your spouse. If you feel the need to control and manipulate people then go get a supervisory job and spare your spouse the grief.

  Any single guys reading this post pay very close attention to the varied replies from women. Then carefully think which type you would want to commit the rest of your life with. Do you want to live with a women that feels the need to control you and your activities? When a husband tries to control his wife he get labeled as a chauvinist, insecure, controlling etc.

  THIS IS A BLATANT DOUBLE STANDARD THAT GETS GLOSSED OVER IN OUR SOCIETY.

  Anytime I see a guy going out with a women who has a whole laundry list of what she will "LET" him do or not do I make a point to have a long talk with him about control issues. If a woman has an insecurity that is her baby to deal with and it is dealt with by not projecting them onto her husband. That is disfunctional and not healthy for either spouse.

  Worse yet I know of several women that forbid their hubbies from going to strip clubs but they still go out for ladies night out wearing an "F-me" dress. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

  Guys you are better off playing the field for many more years that to get hitched up with a manipulative, insecure control freak. It is worse then death.

  nu 31:17-18 moses, following the lord's command, orders the israelites to kill all the midianite male children and "... every woman who has known man ...." (note: how would it be determined which women had known men?

  one can only speculate.

  dt 21:10-13 with the lord's approval, the israelites are allowed to take "beautiful women" from the enemy camp to be their captive wives.

  Brad Delp of "Boston" dies at 55.

  lead singer brad delp died today of unknown causes.

  boston was one of my all time favorite hard rock groups.

  they were in the process of recording thier next album.

  Lead singer Brad Delp died today of unknown causes. Boston was one of my all time favorite hard rock groups. They were in the process of recording thier next album. I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert twice and they always put on an ass kicking show. Back in 1976 when I was twelve years old I remember having to mow three lawns to buy thier first album "More then a feeling".
