Subconjuctival bleeding

i have this happen to my eye almost monthly and i was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this?

i have read that docs usually don't treat it unless it's secondary to hypertension.

my bp is very normal i am am not taking any anticoagulants.

I had four surgeries in the other eye last june and both eyes were pressure tested. The injured one had a higher pressure but the other one (bloody one) was normal. It always clears up in 3-5 days but it looks really bad and I get tired of having to explain it to everyone that see's it. I have been tempted to get an eye patch and then nobody will ask any questions or make any assumptions.

Since I do alot of metal working I am sure it's from an old injury from metal fragments. I wear saftey glasses but that doesn't always keep every speck out.

My BP is very normal I am am not taking any anticoagulants. It looks really bad and freaks people out. I don't want to look like a drug abuser or fighter and that is what everyone assumes.

This is not my eye but it looks exactly like it.

Has anyone ever gotten treatment for this?

One more way to alienate posters by intimidation. Is being picky about spelling and grammar more important then making sure everyone feels welcome here? What about the members that use English as a second language? This is a great way to encourage lurkers to make that first post. It will also help members open up and get some input on how to work through a problem(s) knowing that their spelling an grammar will be nit-picked and critiqued to pieces.

When does condescension encourage conversation?

Anytime I hear someone correcting grammar they look and sound like complete nerds. It's their way of trying to make themselves look intelligent because they have failed at wit and humor.

given the faked linda death and a recent, personal friend who died...i think it's appropriate to gather our thoughts on our own death & funeral.. first, if you have a will please make sure it puts down your final funeral wishes.

i think all would roll over in the casket if our family members gave us a jw funeral.

i could see them doing this as a last effort to make us right with jah.. in my case, i'd like you to plant a tree/plant (even an anti-mosquito plant would do) in your yard.

My wife and I both agreed to not have any funeral but to have a rememberance party with copius drinking and every type of junk food that is available.

So even if my death is hoax it's a win-win for everyone since you guys don't need any excuse to drink like fish.

Kite Flying

so last night me and my man decided to go test drive our new kite, we bought it as a joke from a toy shop at the weekend, not thinking we would ever actually go try it out, but a friend said how lovely weather was and how it was perfect for kite flying, so after work off we went!

and can i just say.....it was sooo much fun!!

you wouldnt believe.

A couple years ago we took a trip down the Oregon coast and I bought my daughter a kite. When we got to the first beach I was showing her how to fly a dual line kite and I discovered how fun it was myself. A doctor that works in my clinic competes in kite flying so he gave a few pointers. I only had the basic single line kite as a kid. My daughter was getting annoyed that I was "hogging it" so I ended up buying another one for myself. It was a re-discovery for me as to how much fun it was and relaxing to. When you are focusing on the kit you can't have anything else on your mind.

we're not talking about high school.

we're talking abot middle school!

All that is left is to open a Lover's Package and Victoria's Secret at our elementary and junior high schools.

And people still have to ask my wife and I why our daughter is in private school.

I do not recall seeing a doctor involved anywhere in this process. I also know adult women that have problems staying on the BC pill program.

When people start actually offering 11 y/o BC pills we have to take a deep breath and have some serious discussions about our culture and society in general.

a british museum has canceled a lecture by dr. james watson, co-discoverer of the dna double helix, after he claimed black people are less intelligent than whites in a recent newspaper interview.. watson, who won the 1962 nobel prize for his part in discovering the structure of dna, provoked a storm of criticism after his comments were published in the sunday times.. the eminent biologist told the british newspaper he was "inherently gloomy about the prospect of africa" because "all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours -- whereas all the testing says not really.".

IQ tests also have shown Asians to be more intelligent then Europeans. I am Irish by decent but I don't have a problem with that. Should I be banned from speaking for pointing out test results?
