I did not realize there was a shortage of poop beans, What's next? Rationing? Seeing the prices go up? Will people have to switch to the less tasty "many weed tea"? The future can be very scary sometimes.

God parent dilema.
by BrentR insince my entire family are jw's and my wife's family are all chain smoking, heavy drinking white trash we had to go outside our families to find a god parent for our daughter.
right after our daughter was born we asked some very good friends of ours if they would want to be and they agreed.
just a few weeks ago we found they have become deeply involved in a fundamentalist christian church.

It's a scary and frustrating process that all parents have to deal with but with most of us here have JW family and it gets even more complicated. The foster care system in WA is a disaster and we do not want our daughter to even have the slightest chance to become involved in it. Her and her two brothers and sister were in it and some very bad things happened.
I also know several parents that have never even given it any thought.

I used to use a preparation made from bitters called Kanjagn (sp?) but have not been able to locate it. Right now my family and I have had great success with Sambucol black elderberry extract. Any time I feel like a "bug" is comming on I start taking it. It tastes like berry syrup and kids really like it. So far I have dodged alot of sickness using it and some other immune boosting products. I am self employed and do not have sick pay so I cannot afford to be sick.
Satanus, Thanks for posting the bitters info! I think that is the same stuff but with a different name. It worked great and I will get some and start using it also.

Summary
Objective: To assess the efficacy of Andrographis paniculata in the symptomatic treatment of uncomplicated upper respiratory tract infection.
Methods: Systematic review of the literature and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials. Mean difference in the reduction in symptom severity scores between treatment and control groups was calculated to obtain an overall estimate of effect.
Results: Four studies met our inclusion criteria and were reviewed. A total of 433 patients reported in three trials were included in the statistical analysis. Andrographis paniculata fixed combination with Acanthopanax senticosus was more effective than placebo. The mean difference was 2·13 points (95% CI 1·00–3·26 points, P = 0·0002) on the symptom severity score. The difference in effects between A. paniculata and placebo was 10·85 points (95% CI 10·36–11·34 points, P < 0·0001) in favour of A. paniculata.
Conclusion: Current evidence suggests that A. paniculata extract alone or in combination with A. senticosus extract may be more effective than placebo and may be an appropriate alternative treatment of uncomplicated acute upper respiratory tract infection.

In my neck of the woods guardian and godparent are Synonymous. So to clarify it would be gaurdian. We arranged this with an attorney but now we have to start the whole process over again.
The religion out friends are involved with is quite similar to JW's in multiple church meetings each week and the isolationist attitudes. It's not what I call a healthy environment.

If my wife and I both die we want someone to raise her and not have the state put her in a foster home. I am not sure what the term is in the UK for god parent but it has nothing to do with religion. It is about selecting a family that will do the best job of raising your child if it's parents both die.

It's not "supposedly", it is! It's called Thimersol and it has been removed from most child vaccinations but is still flu vaccinations. You can request a thimersol free one but most clinics do not stock them and they must be special ordered.
It's listed in the package inserts and your doctor's office can verify this.
I think more people read the ingredients of packaged foods then what they allow to be injected into thier bodies.

Inhalation:
Mercury vapor is highly toxic via this route. Causes severe respiratory tract damage. Symptoms include sore throat, coughing, pain, tightness in chest, breathing difficulties, shortness of breath, headache, muscle weakness, anorexia, gastrointestinal disturbance, ringing in the ear, liver changes, fever, bronchitis and pneumonitis. Can be absorbed through inhalation with symptoms similar to ingestion.
Ingestion:
May cause burning of the mouth and pharynx, abdominal pain, vomiting, corrosive ulceration, bloody diarrhea. May be followed by a rapid and weak pulse, shallow breathing, paleness, exhaustion, tremors and collapse. Delayed death may occur from renal failure. Gastrointenstinal uptake of mercury is less than 5% but its ability to penetrate tissues presents some hazard. Initial symptoms may be thirst, possible abdominal discomfort.
Skin Contact:
Causes irritaton and burns to skin. Symptoms include redness and pain. May cause skin allergy and sensitization. Can be absorbed through the skin with symptoms to parallel ingestion.
Eye Contact:
Causes irritation and burns to eyes. Symptoms include redness, pain, blurred vision; may cause serious and permanent eye damage.
Chronic Exposure:
Chronic exposure through any route can produce central nervous system damage. May cause muscle tremors, personality and behavior changes, memory loss, metallic taste, loosening of the teeth, digestive disorders, skin rashes, brain damage and kidney damage. Can cause skin allergies and accumulate in the body. Repeated skin contact can cause the skin to turn gray in color. A suspected reproductive hazard; may damage the developing fetus and decrease fertility in males and females.
Aggravation of Pre-existing Conditions:
Persons with nervous disorders, or impaired kidney or respiratory function, or a history of allergies or a known sensitization to mercury may be more susceptible to the effects of the substance.
