my advice to any victim of jw's that would complain about sisters wearing these pretty dresses would be to take a pair of scissors with them to the hall and cut the strings off right in front of the complainers and ask if that is better.
go strapless!
I was told one time.....Looooong ago......no spaghetti straps but lasagna was OK.
something to do with no bra vs lasagna could cover the straps......sicko's to even be thinking about my bra.
well the time has come.
i no longer have any motivation to keep up with a fade.
my wife is out, my kids were never really in and we're moving on.
no Pinatas
so my mom sends me this to me and i hate these jw forward things- .
i want to have a good response when she asks if i got it- because i feel like it has nothing to do with jw's, just a coincidence.
i feel like she thinks i hate god, but it has nothing to do with him- it's the religion itself.
This story is true. Only the names, places and FACTS have been changed to protect the Stupid.
ok, so "the kilted brethren" is a term coolhandluke, breck (lowkey lowsmith) and i came up with on another board, but all fans of unbifurcated garments qualify for membership .
so whether you wear a utilikilt, a tartan or any other style, help me celebrate freedom and post ya pics!.
this is me last summer at a brewfest.
hey bigwilly when a lass sees under yer kilt and she gasps...'eu it's gruesome' do ya say 'ooo look again lass, it's grue-som-more'
uh sorry, I didn't really want any of you to know that side of me.

ah yes, me too, many good times I've had at Redhook. They often have good local bands and resonable pub fare. And when you take the brewhouse tour...Yippy=Free Beer Tasting.
....er at least it used to be free, have not been over that way recently. Reminds me, I need a trip over the mountain.

Oooo The Beer Thread and here we are at TGIF. My town is home to the first Brewpub in the country, or was, they closed a few years back over financial problems. Bert Grant was a pioneer in the micor brew industry and he opened a brewpub here in the 80's. What a wonderful place that was. Berts Scottish Ale quickly became my favorite as I was perviously a Guinness fan. I understand the company is still producing as a contract brewer. This thread has got me curious to find out more. I learned to love a nice Black and Tan with Tuesday Night Trivia at the Pub.
Redhook beer in Redmond, Wa was developed by a friend of Berts and they have continued to be one of the best micro brewers in the country. Their IPA is another favorite.
I have learned to enjoy wine and a single malt scotch is my distilled alcohol drink of choice but Ahhhh Beer. My dad introduced me to that smooth bitter flavor when I was a wee lass. Thank You Daddy.
were you a note taker?
did you truly listen??
were you a daydreamer?
I did it all, doodle, correct checkbook, make lists, then we went to Hawaii and I bought a Bible in Pidgin English 'Da Jesus Book' That was really fun, looking up scriptures in Pidgin. Matt24:14 All ova da world goin get peopo dat goin tell all da Good Kine Stuff bout how peopo can get God fo dea King. All da diffren kine peopos goin hear wass fo real, an den, everyting goin pau. Someting real bad goin mess up everyting.
Before I got the Pidgin Bible I would take different translations, New Jerusalem or Living Enlish to compare wording. That got elders attention, lots of raised eyebrows and comments like 'why aren't you using a Real Bible?
everyone always talks about the elders and people in the congregation coming around to see why you aren't at meetings...but i've never experienced this.
i've been away from the meetings for months, and not one single elder has called me.
my friends occasionally call me but never bring up my lackluster attendance.
Elders have stopped by several time since my husband and I stopped attending but, get this, never when he is home. His work schedule is well know but for some reason they just cannot come any time except weed day mornings. It has become a joke to us.
on another note. My mother is an elderly sister, very strong and at the center of her congergation. She often needs a little help with household jobs, yard work, car maintenance and I live out of state. I have asker her elders to please check on her and offer a little help, not anything huge or costly just little things like pick the oranges or check her tiers of air. They always have a cheerful reply 'oh yes, we will do that, it is our pleasure to assist Sister Elderly' Well, nothing , NOTHING is ever done. No attention what so ever. They might stop by if they are working in her territory but no hands on help. When I visit I do all the yard work, clean house, take her to doctors, etc. I love doing it but really need a bit of support.
They call themselves Servants, Shephards, Slaves to the Congergation. What part of their job discription are they doing.....ZERO.
