  Appealing a JC Decision

  i had my jc about a month ago now and thanks to my dad i keep thinking "shoul i have appealed?

  " has anyone ever heard of a decision being reversed because of an appeal?

  do very many people appeal?

  Incidentally, if you join the military or a church , you just get announced as d/a...but join the "Y" and they hold a committee...strange isn't it? I bet there are a fair few dubs who dont know that it is a d/f offence

  I didn't know that...I was thinking about joining the Y, too. Like was mentioned before about the UN NGO thingie, what a bunch of hypocrites!

  I would mention that in the appeal letter about the double standard, btw. What have you to lose?

  Found: planet that may hold the key to life beyond our solar system

  here, an entire year passes in just over 48 hours and surface temperatures are hot enough to melt lead.

  This planet is actually very hot (like 450 degrees F) on the dark side, too, because of the tremendous wind patterns discovered to be active on this planet. It's hard to imagine liquid water in existence on the planet...maybe vapor.

  I bought the special mag organizer, the tract holder, and the OKM binder that holds about 3 years of them. I have to admit I later thought it was just another example of business-minded JW's taking advantage of other JW's...kinda like the JW-owned company I used to work for.

  Why don't Lurkers Post?

  when i came to the realisation that my whole religious upbringing was in question and i was led to this site, i immediately wanted to get involved - i could see that there was a lot of caring, spiritual people here that had created an amazing community and i wanted to be a part of that community (to release some pent up feelings and to maybe help others in some way) but having read that many of you guys lurked for months and in some cases years before you finally posted - i'm intrigued as to why?????

  was it selfishness - couldn't bring yourself to commit and be a part of the community, you were just content to observe?

  was it laziness?

  Fear, paranoia, indoctrination, lack of critical thinking skills, laziness, apathy, numbness, insecurity, lack of typing skills, poor internet connection, nosy spouse wondering what internet site his/her spouse is on at the moment...could be any of these reasons or combination thereof.

  Awesome...I so much wish I would have been more logical, did my research fully, and wasn't so impulsive. I was like your mom who did the research and yet still joined.

  You seem to have it all together. I wish you all the best in your pursuit of that baptism annulment.

  Wishing I could annul mine, too, but can't since I was 25 when it happened,
