why do animals die?.

nvr--That's preposterous. Don't you know we are in darkness and God has blinded our eyes? I read it in a watchtower once, so it must be true. They kept going on and on about how "well-fed" those in the "truth" were and how everyone else is starving.
Well, they got most of it right, anyway. They just had a couple details reversed.

4) Death is a result of sin
So again my question stands. Why do animals die?
Here's how a loyal dub would respond:
Orgull, when you word it that way, the truth doesn't make sense. Therefore, in order for it to make sense, we need to change your question by changing the wording. Actually, just drop the wording about the animals entirely. That part about living souls can be left out, too. Then we are left with:
1) Humans die.
2) Death is a result of sin
There...makes perfect sense now. I don't see a problem.
...What do you mean that doesn't answer your question? You haven't been on that internet have you?

Seriously, though, anyone familiar with Occum's Razor? What's the simplest answer to this problem? From that point of view, what roles do a deity and a concept of sin have in that answer?

I can see the new direction being to just read what Brooklyn prints and only underline/highlight the "answer" from the paragraph. But only underlining OR highlighting. No more underlining one set of points in yellow, another in pink, another in blue, and then underlining a fourth set of points, like some do. "Oh, and brother elders, keep an eye out for those making unnecessary use of marginal notes. Those are a sure sign of independent thinking!"

Yeah...questioning the watchtower is FOOLISH. No need to argue about it, just ACCEPT it as truth and move on, you drones! Any form of independent thought, i.e. thought outside of what the watchtower tells you to think, is useless and futile.....useless and futile...that sounds so familiar.

i am currently sipping on a green tea.

My favorite tea is Earl Grey. My wife's favorite is Chamomile. We use the "old-fashioned" whistling tea kettle as opposed to just microwaving the water.
I still don't because I don't really care for the holiday. Mainly I don't because it's too commercial. One minor reason I think it is silly is that it is supposed to be celebrating Jesus' birthday, but it's not even in the right season for that. I will go to my parents' house for dinner that day because that's just when they all get together, but I won't celebrate with gifts or any of the commercial stuff. I have no objections for anyone who feels differently, though.

Pretty sure it was mentioned in a KM a few months ago (cant find may km) and was iterated by my BSConductor that because of the witness language those in the world don't understand the study articles like when it say CO, DO, pioneer, PO, bethelite, and the heavier or meatier articles, that may be true of one reason but I smell a big rat.

lol.. seriously, my new doubts have made it harder and harder to go in service.
a few months ago, when a new month rolled around, i realized that i hadn't actually gone in service at all the previous month.
Excuse me!!!!! They force u ....I don't think so....they usually encourage u to go service, but I'm sure there may be some individuals that may intimidate u. It depends on their personality and remember we are all imperfect. Also too we were not put on earth to serve man, but God...

wearewhoweare: Um...that "we are all imperfect" card has been way over-played. That doesn't give people the right to do something wrong and then expect forgiveness and then do it again and again. It's not a good excuse, and I'm tired of it. Another catch phrase I'm tired of is that bit about serving man...yeah, what a shame we have to deal directly with men in the congregations instead of God directly. Those elders with the intimidating personalities have no business being elders. They make it hard on everyone.
You remind me of a "brother" in my old congregation who used that same word whisker during all of his parts on the meetings: "Also too"

i've dove in florida, the caribbean, the graat lakes, and a number of other puddles.. my last major trip was key west.

I'm a SCUBA wannabe...just did some snorkeling in the Bahamas twice, once with reef sharks, Grand Cayman, and Playa del Carmen (just south of there in a place called Xel-ha). I would love to dive in the cenotes that I saw in the Yucatan. I know it's not the same as diving, but it's a step in the right direction. I'm envious of you guys, though.
as a rule, i believe jehovah's witnesses treat females as sub par to the menfolk.
i knew a lot of women in the hall that were smarter than their mates.
they begrudgingly got respect from most of the elders.
