I assume you are talking about the Michael Crichton book, right? I read that a while back and am glad I did. Having a concept like that in mind helps remind me not to take the media seriously so much anymore. I get most of my news and current events from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, now.

Jehovah is responsible for latest cougar attack
by cultswatter inin the early days the dinosaurs roamed the earth.
the tyrannosoras rex would tear into the brontosauras with great shrieks of glee from jehovah and the angels.
the large dinos are all gone but some of the smalller ones survived.

sinis and PEC, I just want to chime in and say I wholeheartedly agree with you. It is neither fair nor right to go into the wild without realizing the danger or without taking the proper precautions and then the animals living there have to pay for the human ignorance.
I think there is probably only one situation where the animal's right to life should not be respected. In an established human community where a wild animal comes in and starts hunting humans, that animal needs to be put down.
Some other comments I wish to make:
I don't like KFC, but I do like Pollo Loco. Baby goat isn't bad either. Anyone ever tried cabrito?
Ninja, I also agree with you in your stance on pot noodles. Those things can't be trusted!

My Brother Died in a Car Wreck Last Night
by WLG ini just found out about an hour ago.
he wasn't even old enough to drink yet.. to make it even sh*ttier, he had called me a few weeks ago and asked if he could come out here with me but i couldn't do it at the time.
so of course the first thing that comes to mind is if i had done something different it wouldn't have happened.. he was going through the sh*t as i call it, when witnesses go off the deep end and get into everything in the world to stop hurting and they don't even know what is wrong.

WLG, I'm so sorry for your loss. My sister is estranged from our family at the moment (by her own choice), but I hope that soon she'll change her mind and come back before something bad happens.

For the women...
by erandir inso, i'm curious as to what you think about the lovely comparison the wt makes to women from the bible...and it is seriously intended as a complement:.
"charming mountain goat".
"lovable hind".

ever changing WTS
by logic ini guess the following article and many more like it no longer apply since the sept km.
(aug 15, 98 wat pg 20).
19 jehovahs organization does not discourage sincere, timely questions, as some opposers mistakenly claim.

As for speculation, a lot of the elders and ms-es I was around engaged in a lot of it. They'd be like, "Yeah, this is probably speculation, but..." and then go on with their speculations as if that made it ok.
The WT at times encourages sincere questions, at other times discourages speculation and doubts, at yet other times doubts are ok, but go to the elders to discuss them. What a bunch of flip-flopping confusion.

Sure, men and women are different. And I like those differences. But the WTS treats them as inferior while saying that they don't. I don't like that. That bit about letting the women have their way when nothing important is at stake...that takes the cake. Grrr.
The animal references certainly are strange and unusual for our modern culture, I agree.
Thanks for the responses.

Next year's District Convention will be 4 days?
by erandir inwtwizard recently started a topic discussing assemblies and conventions and mentioned the following:.
(next year, it is four days but only apostates have access to that information.
can someone please point me to the thread that discussed this or post the information in this topic?.

Until I get more information, I am just going to go with the theory that the convention sites need to be booked for 4 days in order to prepare the place for the 3-day convention. I remember once having guard duty the night and early morning before the Friday session and stuff was mostly set up Thursday evening by the time I came in.

I once left a drywall knife at the hall after helping with the remodel. No one returned it. So, yeah, technically they stole that from me.

Haven't told any of them off yet...so I guess now is a good time to start:
Bite me, FDS! I hope I leave a bitter taste, too! You bunch of arrogant Pharisees...
There...shocking, I know. I'll tone it down a bit from now on, though.
