You will find out here that Jesus Christ is the truth not the wts
Well...you'll at least find out that the WTS is not the truth.
i just joined this forum today after reading the comments on today's watchtower (which i have to attend in about an hour unfortunately).
i was raised in "the truth" and it was only recently that i began to listen to a close friend of mine as he pointed out the secrets and lies that is the watchtower society and governing body.
even though he was informing me for almost a year, he never gave up on me.

to control a person, or control a group of people , any cult , including jehovah's witnesses , have to gain your trust that they are the authority on what you need to know.
even people have been known to use these " catch phrases " to gain trust , or " hook lines " as you'd call them to gain control over groups of people or individually in their own lives.
see if you are familiar with these phrases which empower the sender of the phrase , but demands rapt allegiance from listeners to be the " gospel truth " without challenge , which can take the listeners power away.
"Right thinking individuals..."
"Sadly,..."
"He didn't have the right heart condition."
"He must not have had the truth to begin with."
"The Mother-like Organization..."
if a jw person found out some information that meant that thier husband /brother /son had perhaps abused a child that he had denied abusing afterall , if they went to see the elders would they be advised to say nothing , or go to the authorities ?
bear in mind that this perp is currently serving a prison term for children he had abused when he was a min servant , but got away with the other child ,because of lack of evidence .
this information was brought to light by the childs family , that made the perps family aware of it , any ideas , would it be a conscience thing or "wait on jehovah" thing ?
In the case of finding a person in the house-to-house work who was doing something wrong or was in possession of drugs or whatever, I was always advised to ignore it and go on. Not that it ever happened to me, but the question did come up, and that seemed to be the standard replay.
I don't know if that was the standard for someone in the congregation doing something wrong/illegal. We were encouraged to tattle to the elders, mostly.
so that this will be no surprise to you, and so you will not be swayed in your firm stand of holy spirit truth, i give you this.. .
in the coming months expect to hear this in the kh and the mags..... "for those of you who have heard of the association of the wts and the un and have patiently and faithfully waited on jehovah, we can now tell you our reasons for doing this.
it has all been under the direction of the fds.. this library card was necessary because..... there are very old manuscripts that have never been deciphered and they have been housed within that library.. through much prayer and careful consideration, jah directed for our team of translators, which are the best and most accurate in the world, to be a part of this great uncovering of the new scrolls.".
The God formerly known as Jehovah .
Didn't a music star try this ? LOL
yeah, and the wts accepted him as well.

Nelly,
I may be wrong, but if I recall correctly I think that you will find that the sitting tenants were non-JW's who had a legal right to stay given their long tenure.
Cheers - HS
I can confirm that. About 8 years ago, my wife and I went to Brooklyn and Patterson Bethel for a weekend tour. We got to stay at the Bossert overnight (we had "connections"). Our "tour guide" mentioned these tenants and that they had the legal right to stay there. The subject came up because while we were being shown the lobby and hearing about the history of the building and its new renovation, an older man entered the lobby, was greeted by the attendant, and proceeded to the elevator. Judging by his appearance (unshaved, sloppy attire, etc.), he wasn't a Bethelite.
i have the 2007 cd available as an iso image.

anybody?...anybody?
i'm a baptized member considered ''inactive.
'' i don't hand in ''service reports'',attend maybe 3 meetings a month, ain't signed up for the ministry school and will never attend any convention or the ''book study.
'' always make the ''memorial.
As far as anyone knows in my home congregation, I'm inactive, haven't attended meetings there in more than 2 years, haven't attended the memorial last year (nor will I attend this year), haven't attended the circuit and district assemblies since Dec 06. My wife still attends there, so she would know if my official status has changed. No one calls on me, per my request relayed through my wife to the elders. Also, I work nights and have disconnected the door bell. So if anyone has called, I wouldn't know. Also, we only have cell phones, and I made sure not to give my number out to any elder or ms at the hall. This fade has been uneventful and peaceful so far.
there seems to be a very important announcement this coming weeking on the next service meeting, forme it will be on wednesday 30th jan.. during the last 2 meetings they have asked that every batized jw be at that meeting and even to tell others who might not have heard the annoucement.. anyone here have any ideas i wouldn't be surprised if they are changing meeting times and arrangments...less meeting at is !.
Maybe JWD will be mentioned by name in this special talk
that's actually a great opportunity to see if you've got real friend material on your hands or not.
one of my very best friends is one i don't agree with on some important topics.
we discuss them until we each understand the other's point of view and can identify the exact point of divergence.
I have to chime in and say that I really appreciate this thread. I, too, love such a good debate and thorough discussion with my wife where the goal is to understand each other better and not necessarily to agree. It's refreshing to see there are others like that out there.
Also, I really enjoy reading AA's posts whenever I come across them...and anyone else's, for that matter, who takes the effort to write with quality.
Thanks!
