However, this one (as hilarious as it is) would probably go over like a lead balloon (easter egg for you music buffs out there) with her. She still tends to tune out attacks on the "past truths." why do i post here, i havent been to a meeting regularly for almost 16 years, last time i attended memorial i was 14, my wife and i are roman catholic, all my close friends are not jws.
so why do i feel the need to post on here if all that is in my life is so far away from the kingdumb hall?
these are questions often asked to me by some of my friends and sometimes even my wife, they say well you left that behind years ago, that is true, however most of my family on my mothers side are still jws, i still deal with what i went through going up in the org, being able to share that with other people who also had similar experience is great.
Im fading, so i post here because i get to sat what i eally feel and think about this cult. It enables me to vent and not let it all build up in my head. Also when i read all the other posters stories it stops me from letting any guilt trips affect me and strengthens my resolve to never go back.

Also, maybe in some dark recess of my mind I hope that some stalker in my congregation has figured out who I am and is logging all my posts so that they can make the decision for me and df my a$$. That would just prove to me how much control they try to exert over their members.

i remember the girl from my 'past life' when she was still at school - she's nice, but i hear that she's been in a couple of relationships that didn't work out.
thing is, the dub version of a 'courtship' that doesn't work out is when it doesn't end in marriage!
What is all this age discrimination? Just because someone is physically 10 years older doesn't mean that a relationship shouldn't or couldn't happen and be successful. In fact, I would prefer my 20-year-old son (if I had one) to marry an older woman who is more mature and responsible. Even better, I would prefer that my kid(s) wait until they are 30 or so to get married in the first place. I remember how I was 12 years ago and that I shouldn't have done half the things I did. Being 32 instead of 20 brings a whole new perspective on things. I guess my rant here has two main points: (1) Age differences are not that big of a deal--how you are inside is more important than your physical age. (2) Waiting to get married until around 30 is wise.

i have a ps2, psp, and xbox.
i was mainly an xbox kind of guy until they completely abandoned it soon after the 360 was released.
I am a Nintendo and PC gamer. The game I play now is an old game called Star Trek Elite Force I that I play online with my older brother. It's based on the Quake III engine. Mario and Zelda games are my favorites, though. I used to play an old online text-based game called M-trek when I was in college 10 years ago. Anyone heard of that one?

now, i do use some profanity but it is always controlled.

Of course, whenever I engage in bad spanish dialogue with my wife (she's from Mexico), she starts cursing in english to show me how bad it sounds.
