If you look at the above images from your seat in front of the computer, Mr. Angry is on the left, and Ms.Calm is on the right. Get up from your seat, and move back 12 feet, and PRESTO!! they switch places!! It is said this illusion was created by Phillippe G.Schyns and Aude Oliva of the University of Glasgow .. Does this prove that things (or people) aren't always what they seem ?

  i would like to think everyone for thier the support through my famalies trying times.

  well things did not turn out the way i was hoping it would have so far.

  my wife has not come home as of yet and has no plans to.

  after being raised as a jw, my dad was df'd for the 2nd time in 1994. that year he lost a wife, 3 children, mother and brother, as well as every friend he had made throughout his 40 years of life.

  over the years my sister and i gradually started contacting him, but never had a real father/daughter relationship.

  a few years ago, during my divorce, he and i sat down and started discussing his feelings.

  He said that no matter what stage of recovery you are in, enjoy your life. You may feel that things are horrible, that no one cares, and that the WTS has taken everything from you. We all go through that stage, but things get better and we all come out of it. He said that you have our whole lives ahead of you and be thankful that you chose to leave when you did. You will never regret your decision. He also said that he loves all of you and hopes that you all find happiness, no matter where it is. Your life is what you make of it!!!!

  I love what your dad has said and its so true.

  I am glad that you have been able to get back in contact with him and now have a father/daughter relationship.

  Its your siblings who are missing out by shunning him and for their children who loss out on a grandfather.

  i was at my parents yesterday chatting with my dad.

  he asked me what i wanted to do for my bday and i said dinner would be nice.

  i explained that this was always a touchy subject with us (hubby and me) and his face changed.

  although i am still a relative newbie to this board and can't say i had the honour of knowing her, i am so touched at the outpouring of love that i have seen - and priviledged that i can be a member of this community!

  do any of you find it weird that a lot of the ex jw's here and at other sites are in there 30's??.

  it's like the jw's have lost a whole generation..

  I think the age of the internet was starting to be predominant when we were all late teens but untill you get late 20's you want answers and the sense of self awareness.
