  The British NHS........ What is your view?

  the nhs is a hot issue at present with the forthcoming uk elections pending in may, both main parties are trying to monopolise the issue of our health service.

  it is a unique service where faults of course can be found (as in the current news story) but having worked and given my best for the last 15 years in it, i feel proud of it.

  what experience do you/have you had of the nhs?

  Total of 4 weeks in hospital..2 major ops..choice of good food..total bill, zero!

  I have to say that my experiences with the NHS have been very positive. Thercare in A & E is superb here in WSM. The follow up is somewhat haphazzard with lot's of re-appointments being made for less urgent cases.

  All in all, the system works well in life threatening situations. If, however, you're waiting for less essential surgery, then you could wait literally for years.

  Fine, you must do what you want to do. Maybe you might just check out the word "organisation" in your Bible. And disfellowshipping too. Can't find either?

  Oh yes.....I'd be curious how you can connect the 144,000 to the parable of the FDS. There is nothing to link the 2.

  2005 Barbecue Is Definitely On!

  saturday seems to be much preferred over sunday, so this years bbq will be held on saturday, july 9th, commencing around 2 pm.

  location is our home in weston super mare.

  as usual, the day will be very boozy and proceedings will conclude in the waverley pub.

  SHUNNING AT A TIME OF BEREAVEMENT..i told them what i think

  i posted yesterday or day before regarding my anger at my wife being shunned the day after her father died.. in fact it was a very deliberate shun by 3 women who went out of their way to brush right past my wife.. i saw 2 of them today and went up to them in the school playyard and said very loudly for all the parents to hear:.

  "i would like to thank you both for your condolensces and for walking right past my wife when her father had just died.. true christianity??

  ?.....isn't it lovely!!!!!!.

  But it's probably water off a ducks back to them.

  Actually, I doubt it. It's a very unanatural thing to shun someone that you know. If the shunner hasn't had time to "steel himself", being forced into a sudden shun causes most shunners acute embarrassment.
