..i'm astonished.. "is this the way to amarillo" was a hit for tony christie in 1971. now, the same version is top of the uk charts yet again, 34 years later!
what's more, the singer is actually a yorkshireman whose never set foot in texas!.

the first time i can vividly recall feeling jealous was when i was 7.. my dad came home from visiting a client with gifts for me and my sisters.
my younger sisters got a beaufiful handmade doll dressed in pink lace called betty and a handmade cotton cot.
i got the 1982 yearbook of jws.
I once went out with a girl who had jealousy problems. It was an absolute nightmare. I've always been a social animal and will happily chat to both men and women if the subject is of interest. Anyway, it got to the point that not only would she give me hell about my imagined infidelities but she'd also give the subjects of her jealousy hell as well. So then these females wouldn't talk to me because of what my jealous girl friend might do. So then I avoided telling her who I had been talking too, became more secretive as a result and eventually just felt like a big lump of a useless oaf who couldn't please anyone. Worse still I became an object of pity amongst our rapidly diminishing social circle.

I do enjoy a little tickle occasionally.
I used to frequent casinos quite a lot in my younger days. Her Ladyship was working in the one that I used, that's how we met.
So yes, I was a winner.

Just had breakfast in town with a newly-departed local dub elder.
He told me that here in Weston, one brother was reported to the elders for frequenting a local betting shop. The person grassing was a sister. She claimed to have witnessed (hah!) the brother concerned going into the betting shop at weekends to place bets for the Saturday race schedule.
Well, he was duly admonished severely. He was informed that if it happened again, then much grief would rain down upon his unfortunate head. Consequently, the addicted brother attempted to desist.
Months went by and all settled down. The brothers admonishment was wearing off and the lure of horse racing took hold of our hero once more. Could he get away with a little tickle on the gee gees, maybe? A little flutter would hurt no-one, he reasoned.
So it was that he walked over to the betting shop and dithered about trying to pluck up the courage to enter those evil portals. Then, to his absolute astonishment, the betting shop door opened and out walked the very elder who had been the most vociferous in the condemnation of his gambling habit!
But what was worse, was that the elder caught sight of our wayward bro, and then tried to convince him that he was only going into the shop to conduct some private business with the proprietor!
So there you go. Gambling, if you're a witness, is very, very wrong. It's even worse when you get caught!

Yes, excellent!
HL insisted we go organic some months ago. We also cut out anything pre-prepared. The difference in the way that we feel is incredible.
I'm even better humoured..

number 3 son, ben, finished his 3 years at cardiff university today.
to celebrate, he earlier went out with his pals, got well and truly sozzled in several pubs and indulged in the highly dangerous pastime of partaking in a few psycho tequilas!
so how do you imbibe psycho tequilas?
It does say something about you that you laugh about him doing this...I guess you have figured out the equation
Englishman Jr + College = Money
Well..yeah! Of course I laugh. It's great to see one's kids taking a few risks, much better than all that namby-pamby blame culture that's stifling everone these days, eh? And yeah too, Englishman junior + college (actually it's called "University") did cost us lots of money. But he's worth it. Englishman.

Well, you put out the salt, lemon and tequila on the bar as per normal. Then you:
Snort the salt up your nose
Drink the tequila
And squeeze the lemon into your eye!
Don't believe me?
Well, here are the pics!

toughest question anyone can ask, if the love of your life, and mate/wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend messed around on you, whether it be once or for years, how would you handle it and what would you do, think about it slowly and carefully.. wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.. it's said that 50 % of marriages are affected by an affair, it's probaly alot higher.. did you notice any affairs in your congregation ???.
i look back now, and think, oh yeah there was.
When my ex-wife and I left the JW's, we were both unfaithful within a few months.
Years later I realised that we had only been faithful to a belief system. Once that was gone, there was no loyalty holding us together. Loyalty and faithfulness had never been allowed to develop naturally between us. That was all just a part of being a JW and nothing to do with our relationship. So it went out the window as soon as we left and proved to all the good dubbies how abominable apostates were. Sad.

i understand that constantine the great banned them because they were eaten at pagan festivals.. in view of the pagan connection, should jws eat sausages?
I think UK and US sausages are quite different.
