  2005 Barbecue Is Definitely On!

  saturday seems to be much preferred over sunday, so this years bbq will be held on saturday, july 9th, commencing around 2 pm.

  location is our home in weston super mare.

  as usual, the day will be very boozy and proceedings will conclude in the waverley pub.

  Follow signs along the A 370 to Weston super Mare Town Centre. Don't be sidetracked by signs pointing the way to the beach until you are in the Town Centre or you'll be re-routed gawd knows where.
  

  
  Keep going over umpteen roundabouts, past Focus, over the Hildesheim Bridge, past Tesco which is on the right until you see the Town Hall allmost in front of you at the double mini-roundabout. NOW follow the signs to Sea Front /Beach.
  

  
  Turn left once you're on the sea front. Past the Grand Atlantic Hotel. My road is a little way along on the right.

  My last District Convention (I hope) ... observations

  so last weekend was my last district convention.

  i plan on breaking the news to my wife real soon.

  nowadays even at the meetings my blood pressure raises and my back gets all tense as i sit and listen to some of the stuff we are supposed to believe.

  Just heard that Norm, Kent and May-Britt are arriving on the 8th of July so as to get primed in good time for the barbie.

  Also, our ex-pat American, Sherri, is coming too.

  for example: we had a 'faithfull' brother getting older and confused.

  when something did not really went as he liked it (didn't get the answer etc) he shouted very loudly 'god doom me in the hell!

  one time i had to do the closing prayer on the midweek meeting.

  Apostafest T Shirt Slogans.

  the first time that i met simon, he was wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the word "apostate".

  it was all spelt out in evil-type letters, in fact it looked suitably demonic.. when i encountered him at another 'fest, his t-shirt slogan simply read: "no!

  i will not fix your computer!"..

  When I encountered him at another 'fest, his T-shirt slogan simply read: "No! I will not fix your computer!".

  So, I was just sort of wondering if anyone had any good ideas for suitable apostafest slogans that would look really eye-catching on a T-shirt?

  The only slogan I can think of for me is: "No. I do not wax my legs".

  Any ideas?

  Help! There's a tree growing out of the first floor of my house!!!

  it's a kind of woody trunked bush or shrub growing literally out of the brickwork making the bricks crack.

  i've pulled off the bush itself but i need to know what i can do to kill the roots and stop it growing again.

  it's already done quite a lot of damage!!!

  The walls in my back garden get infested with buddlea. Great for the butterflies.

  Ballistic, does this thing have any flowers on it at all? Pink maybe? That means it's not a buddlea but some other awful stuff that's hard to eradicate.

  my wife is involved with jws, and i want to find out what they believe, things they do or will not do, that i can present to her in the hope that it will convince her that the jw lifestyle is not for her.

  i found out a few things already, like blood and yoga which i told her about, but she was unphased.

  ("i've never needed a transfusion before anyway, and besides, they told me that doctors have blood substitute now".
