I asked my CO this very question and he whipped out some story how the 1st century christians where allowed to eat food sacrificed to idols which is also a big no-no but they could only eat it if they didnt know for sure that it was part of idolatrous worship. It was kind of a “what you dont know wont hurt you” kind of deals. How this even remotely related to blood fractions is beyond me. That sort of reasoning IMHO is seriously in error.

1. why can my mother that has just been diagnosed for possible terminal cancer (true) accept blood fractions from whole blood donated from a worldly person at the red cross?.
2. is it then now a conscience matter to go ourselves to the red cross and give blood if we designate it for fraction use only?.

Don't Quote me on this but this is how i believe they “ explain ” it. All first century christians get the ticket to heaven. Then apostacy supposedly took over and christianity plunged into darkness. Well thankfully russell came along to save the day and open up the gates to heaven lol... well numbers started skyrocketing and by the 1930s they had to explain the reason for many true christians so they made up the great crowd theory and called it new light and told everyone that heaven was full and that they'd be stuck on earth cleaning up corpses after the big-A

My Kingdom Hall is near extinction!!
by RULES & REGULATIONS inour kingdom hall was started in 1973 with only 3 families totaling 13 people.it grew to 85 members in the early 90's and that's because many were related to these 3 families.with older members dying,the young leaving when they reach 18, 5 divorces and many disfellowshipped,the congregation is down to 26 members.talk about low morale.
where is jehovah's blessing now?

The society will just look at the lackluster numbers and say that “the love of the greater number” is just “cooling off”. So some hardcore witnesses will see this as encouraging. That sounds bizarre but ive things like that from some witnesses in my hall...

Went to the Kingdom Hall after 8 years
by Prins Vaillant inyesterday i went to the kingdom hall (i was curious wether the little girls from my own jw-time were now gorgeous young women).
a few of them have been 'evolved' ;) into beautiful young women.
first of all, i would like to say that i was so happy when the meeting was over.

Have you ever.........
by helncon infound that music has helped with you getting over being a jw like a song or even a few lines out of a song that just says exactly how you feel.. i know that over the years i have used music as an away of escaping sometimes just from everyday life.
untill a few years ago i found the right song for gettting over the pain and i just summed it all up.. you want to kow what it is?.
well i have always liked metal/grunge even when i was a jw i hid it though and a few years ago i stumbled accross this band and one of their songs just hit home with me!.

Did god create life such as viruses and bacteria which would only make us sick. If we as humans get sick and die supposedly because were sinfull then why do animals get sick and develop diseases such as cancer? NONE of it makes sense! What about the bloodsucking mosquito?! Why would Jehovah who views blood as sacred and as the soul being in the blood create such a sinful creature?
