  I finally Left!

  i would like to give the full details of my leaving the jw's, but i don't have a lot of time at this moment.

  basically i was raised in the organization and it drove me pretty insane bacause my father was an elder, mother a pioneer, sister a bethelite, etc.

  so, i did the whole thing for a long time.

  i decided to dissocaite myself four years ago.

  i actually emailed an author that wrote a book about her experience as jw and why she left.

  Home Schooling

  it seems that there are a lot of witlesses that opt to home school their children.

  i had a family in my former congregation that did that, because the kids did not want to be around worldly people (sounds familiar?).

  it also seems that they are speeding things up, so the children can get out there and pioneer that much sooner.

Every individual had to become convinced, in the core of his being, that the King was just, his decisions always right, and the need for obedience paramount.
  The schools imposed an official language to the prejudice of ethnic groups living in Prussia. The purpose of the system was to instill loyalty to the Crown and to train young men for the military and the bureaucracy. As the German philosopher Johann Gottlieb Fichte, a key influence on the system, said, "The schools must fashion the person, and fashion him in such a way that he simply cannot will otherwise than what you wish him to will."
  
  Emulation of the Prussian education system in the United States
  The Prussian system proved to be a success for that government’s purposes. By the late 1800’s men in the United States including Horace Mann, Barnis Sears, and Calvin Stove heard about the successes of the Prussian system. They traveled to Germany to investigate how the educational process worked. Upon their return to the United States they lobbied heavily to have the Prussian model adopted. Horace Mann was largely responsible for the introduction of compulsory public education, Prussian-style, in the United States.
  
  There has got to be a balance between Home schooling ver Public schooling.

But they are common place in public schools. A well meaning parent can't possibly compete with the resources of thousands of taxpayers.... and why should they???   WTBTS refuses to return 100,000 pound donation from DF man

  watchtower society declines to return disputed 100,000 legacyby emilie filou, third sector, 13 february 2008 .

  the charitable arm of the jehovah's witnesses should return a 100,000 legacy from a man it expelled for trying to convert call girls, one of the man's relatives has said.. martin davis said the watchtower society should return the money left to it by his cousin donald kennett so it could go to kennett's nephew, who is autistic.. accepting money from a member who had been expelled would damage the charity's reputation, said davis, of dulwich, south london.. kennett was befriended by a jehovah's witness in the 80s when recovering from a serious car crash and joined shortly afterwards, davis told third sector.

  he was 'disfellowshipped' from his group in stockport in 2001 after members discovered that he was contacting call girls.. when kennett's mother died in 1994, she had left half her estate to him and half to his autistic nephew.

  Me has seen it with my own eyes over and over.
  
  But as the laws of the lands stand there is little (at this point) any of us can do.
  
  By the way. They will also count shunned person (that are not alive in their view) at the kingdom hall.
  
  Me always bring this up (money from shunned ones and counting at kingdom hall) in discussions with WTBS personnel.
  
  Watch their body language when you bring this subject to their attention. The brains go to work.
  
  Me would like to encourage others to do the same, if you already haven't,
