we had a sister named mary, and named her first daughter lauren, second kid was austin, third kid was michael. she called them her lams, yes, lams, l-lauren a-austin m-michaels. some people thought it was so cute, made me want to vomit.

the big one for me was demons.
so many people i know had experiences with them.
I was told a number of stories about demons, that people had got second hand books and things like that and when they woke in the morning they felt like there was a weight holdingthem down and they couldnt get up. Needless to say I prayed hard that the demons wouldn't come and get me.

much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.
