New to the board
by KICKED OUT ini am 26 , i was baptised at 12 (way to young to make that choice) df'd at 13, reproved at 16, and then finnally df'd for good at 19. i have been forced to leave behind my family and friends, but other than that have never been happier.
i just found this board and i am very happy i have, it is great councelling, and look forward to many great discussions.

please send prayers my way
by junctions-wife inmy 83 year old grandmother is very sick.
she has not eaten anything in two days, we tried chicken noodle soup tonight and she just drank the broth.
anybody have any kind of suggestions i will listen.

Welcome to JWD Kicked Out, I have found this board to be a great source of strength while trying to get free from the borg, I hope you find it to be this way also. It's really amazes me he amount of pressure they put on young people to get baptized really early, maybe it's just so that they will be able to df us when we make any small mistakes.I got baptized just before my sixteenth birthday and man did I feel the pressure, I didn't even know I was supposed to do a dedication prayer to Jehovah before hand so when the elder asked me if I had, I had to lie.

we're not getting on the boat
by BlackSwan of Memphis inwell our furnace was acting up monday night.
it wasn't staying on, which when it's positively freezing out, is not good.. my husband called a few different people and finally asked me if i would be ok if he called my brother?
see, my brother is a) a heating and cooling guy and b) the heating and cooling guy who put in our furnace a few years back.

I know and they feel so superior when they say these things but they don't realise how crazy it sounds and how unnatural it is to 'shun' someone who the week before they are supposed to hsve loved and would even 'die' for. At the moment my sister-in-law, a dub, is really ill with some kind of infection. She can barely walk or look after her baby but went on the ministry with a pioneer and tried to get me to look after her baby for a few hours, even though I'm still trying to recover from my surgery. If it was something important of course I would but what she's doing is crazy. And not a neccessary activity although she can't see that.

My JW mom just passed away............
by troubled mind inmy mom died last wednesday.
we buried her monday .
i am a bit numb still , she had been in ill health and i had tried to prepare myself for this day .
