My Story (in detail)

its sometimes hard for us ex-dubs to share our stories and even harder for those who can't leave the organization and need to vent.

i would encourage all those with a story to tell to do so, i'd really enjoy reading it as i do already read the stories you all shared.. i grew up without my dad and almost without my mum since she was always out drinking or doing something else.

we've been homeless and without money, for years no one in the family had a telephone and my dad offered the sum total of 1.50 a week in child support before running away to american for a few years, abandoning his responsibilities (which he successfully evaded right up to me being too old to need or want his help).

KW I think you're an amazing individual. For a lot of people to have any one of those bad things happen to them would be hard enough to deal with without losing it. I think you're gonna make a fantastic husband and dad . Thank you for sharing your story. And please sat congrats to Megan too.

when i listen to the news about the school shootings in virginia, and the previous school shootings elsewhere, it amazes me that nothing similar has ever happened in a kingdom hall.. i'm totally against violence but i know that it just takes a nut, to do something like this, and there are plenty of nuts and angry people running around.... so many lives have been broken because of the watchtower, and so many jw's and xjw's are unhappy because of this sect.. are you also amazed that there has hardly been any violent crimes agaist jw's or the watchtower?.

To expound upon that thought MsMcDucket, Jehovah's Witnesses kill themselves a little each day by postponing their lives till some abstract, never-to-be-realized future existence.

I agree with you completely here Nvr. I feel like i'm just starting to live now. As a dub you spend your life waiting for the end, only it turns out to not be the end we thought it was gonna be, only by then it's too late to do anything about it.

I'm going to be disfellowshipped on Wednesday

the elders cames to my home on saturday and i didn't answer the door, so they told my sister to relay the message.

the message was "you know what it's about, we're going to make the announcement next meeting".

i knew it was coming...but it feels so weird.
