  looks like we're ending it the same way.

  Anathema of Science and Religion

  just a short "starter for ten" question:.

  have you noticed how so many exjws are polarised as to their views of particularly science and religion?

  some seem to take the time to get informed, and others are content to hold onto previous [mis]conceptions (most likely coloured by the wts) about science and religion being evil and/or corrupt.

  well, that was unbelieveable!!

  just after i posted our latest ordeal with our jw neighbors, and their jw friends pulling down our frosty, egging our house and car, we got a knock on the door!

  I understand.

  I don't look for him to though. He is the proud type! But maybe I will be wrong..lets hope so!

  I have a JW family living very close by. They would be very nice people - but because of being jw's they have this self righteous self important air especially now that I have stopped attending. Like your neighbours hope they wake up soon.

  He asked why we stopped going to the meetings, which opened the door for him to tell him about how we first began to question 607. And how shocked we were to learn that what history says is not consistant with the society. He then showed him how 1914 was a farce, and the identifying of the 144,000 would not have begun then and reasoned about the catacombs in Rome that are filled with millins of dead Christians. All who died because of their faith in the ransom. Would there not have been 144,000 collected with just them alone if it was in fact a literal number??

  I remember one stomach churning pioneer meeting. The Co's theme was about keeping ourselves strong by reading all the literature. He then proceeded to say do you remember this article,

  and what about this one and so on.

  Very embarrassing for those of us who couldn't remember, but an opportunity to shine for those who could.

  page 18 is the pathetic craptower article, telling women (who have apparently gotten above themselves) that they must be "obedient" to their husbands.

  the entire article is nauseating, and obviously written by bitter old men who have major issues with the opposite sex.

  Par 12: (this really pissed me off): "...Peter indicated that some unbelieving husbands---even those who are abusive--will become Christians after observing the submissive conduct of their wives. We have seen evidence of this happening today

  And Mary, I was just wondering how many battered wives does it take to produce one male christian?

  Some armies when confronted by landmines send lots of soldeirs on ahead to detonate the mines and then all the dead bodies become a safe passageway for the rest of the army to follow.

  Really what the WTS is saying is - battered wives are dispensible.

  a)because unbeleif is the worst sin anyone could commit.. b)unbelief is a reflection of a bad heart condition.. c)clearly unbeleif is a willful rejection of god's creatorship, because the evidence abounds as to his existence.. d)the fool has said in his heart,"there is no jehovah.

  " and the god of love hates fools.. e)it is all just a clever mind control indoctrinating idea that has kept billions in slavery, making them fearful of ever loosing faith, and thus making it possible for christianity to survive longer than other myths..
