Religion, Man made ideas and laws to control a group of people. ie Watch tower. Jesus Christ and being Born again, LIFE, relationship, His rules are free and light. His ideas are perfect, not binding.

by jerome inmy main problem with organised religion is when totalitarianism comes into play.
thats when you get institutions like the catholic church in its earlier years.

Mindfield - What is god - Jan 13
by Cath ini was just going back through some of the older recent material to see what i may have missed and i came across this question - what is god?.
better late than never i suppose.. i no longer believe in god as a seperate entity but believe in a life force that is within each of us and everything else on this planet and also the planet itself.. that got me to thinking about the origin of life also as he is said to have created us but as i dont believe in him where did we come from.. in my search i came across this site - http://www.spiritweb.org - which has a section on channellings.
the channellers name is john payne and if you scroll thru his stuff to his seminar called manifesting with joy (you'll need real player) and have a listen to the thing, then to the question time at the end it is quite interesting and thought provoking.

Likewise those who undergo Christian baptism become God’s property, his slaves, to employ as he sees fit. (1Co 6:20) An example of God’s direction of such matters is found in Revelation, where reference is made to a definite number of persons finally “sealed,” namely, 144,000. (Re 7:4-8) Even before such final approval, God’s Holy Spirit serves as a seal that gives those sealed a token in advance of their inheritance, a heavenly one. (Eph 1:13, 14; 2Co 5:1-5) He also told these having such a hope: “God has set the members in the body [of Christ], each one of them, just as he pleased.”—1Co 12:18, 27.
Jesus called attention to another group when he said: “I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those also I must bring, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd.” (Joh 10:16) These are not of the “little flock” (Lu 12:32), but they too must approach Jehovah through Jesus Christ and be baptized in water.

There is nothing selective in Baptism. We all receive the Holly Spirit at this time. There is nothing that claims two different Baptisms. The Bible does not teach haves and have nots. -

I have been on this site for a bite. Reading posts and Where are all the JW's? We have people who have gotten out of the Watchtower, good for all of you. We have Athisites, people who bad mouth, and people who have been kicked out of the Watchtower. Last but not least the Christians. Maybe even a Mormon, cann't tell quite yet.

Passionate, I would have it no other way. That is what drive us, I enjoy being given things to think on. Tryin to find the proper words to say so the idea comes across clear and unconfused. If the people on this board were not passionate it would be a waste of time for the most of us. Looking forward to more topics of dissucion.
