  Anti-witnessing

  during my time as a j-dub, it was encouraged to take every opportunity to informal witness with people.

  a good example would be to witness to a co-worker.. i avoided this as much as possible when i was a dub.

  if the topic of religion came up at work i would try to change the topic or gracefully exit the conversation.. now that i'm far removed from this cult, i find myself taking every opportunity i can to anti-witness against the j-dubs.

  You know how we believed the community admired and respected JW's because our behaviour was so christian. Not what I discovered on the outside. So many have negative experiences of family members who got involved with the witnesses. And their complaints are just. And regarding refusing blood Can't relate to it They can relate to a christian being honest and moral but to them the blood issue is just crazy and tragic when applied to their children. Recently the local shopkeeper told me of a witness that came to her door on mothers day. She greeted the witness with happy mother's day and she was told off for it The shopkeeper a gentle woman said I was only trying to be nice.

  Anti-witnessing is so easy its hardly a challenge. They have already shot themselves in the foot

  the wt has no claim on me i don't think its purely altruistic ( i'm no saint) on my part to help other victims which i have over the years it's like i was part of a dsylectic family and i want to make it right.

  a quest like that of don quotie " to right the unrightable wrong" i say it has no claim yet here i am posting on this site.

  its like i want justice but can't find the enemy let alone pin him down and thrust him through with my sword.

  I may never help even one person escape the jw nightmare, but I'm going to do my best to make sure there's a visible alternative to those who become disillusioned. Sure, I'm just a microscopic part of this, but I'm one none-the-less.

  I am not striking blindly. I know that the people are not my foe. The doctrine and the illegitimate spiritual authority claimed by the organization are my foes. Because I have found my foe my blows strike true. I do not chase windmills, I know where the real beasts live.

  And if your blow should prove fatal the WT dragon lays slain What of your loved ones? If they are anything like mine they would weep over the body and Hate (Godly of course) me all the more.

  First off I had a good laugh re poem.

  However it reminded me of when I would mention to my wife some dish I would like that I grew up with. She would be affronted jealous of my mother. It was not rational. If I were the wife I would get the recipe from the motherinlaw cook it and receive the compliment " Gee this tastes great just like my mothers or possible better than"

  Women are like dogs ( note I said like not are) Pat them play with them praise them tell them how good they are. And their tails wag with excitement cause they are so happy they have pleased their master. And their are lots of traps trick questions like " how does this dress look on me honey"

  we have a son 23years old i kept him company during the night while his mother went through several proceedures to find the leak.

  early in the morning with her mouth full of tubes & despite objections from an elders wife who said "no she does not want to see me she is frightened that i am in the hospital" lorna insisted on seeing me.

  Yeh thanks guys I know you understand.

  I am not feeling sorry for myself just frustrated that I can't break through this mindset. If she said piss off I don't like you and that is her choice fair enough. I can accept that. But its piss off the WT does not like you I would like to like to talk to you but I am not allowed to. Anyway I am putting this one in the two hard basket and letting it go.

  Some months ago my exwife was facing death due to a massive blood loss. We have a son 23years old I kept him company during the night while his mother went through several proceedures to find the leak. Early in the morning with her mouth full of tubes & despite objections from an elders wife who said "No she does not want to see me she is frightened that I am in the hospital" Lorna insisted on seeing me. An unexpected surprise on my part as she completely shuns me. Tom my son who is fairly astute knew what his mother wanted and arranged the visit having the nurse chase out the witnesses The next afternoon she had recovered. Her story now was that the nurse had told her she was going to die and that she should say goodbye to her family.. So back to the shunning.

  Recently my son passed his thesis for his masters in Physchology and wanted to celebrate. I suggested that his mother should join us. We both new the answer to that one She excused herself saying she was not feeling well. I rang her saying we could change it to later after all your his Mum and it would be nice if his MUM and Dad shared this with him. She agreed that it would be nice but not possible. This is the mindset that broke up our marriage Does she go with her feelings her personal experience her opinion or that of the WT that says I must be evil because I no longer agree with them. And she looks for reasons to support the WT position no matter how ridiculous. I know there is little I can do but I hate having my hands tied It's like in those movies where your a ghost trying to make contact with the living I know I'm venting guys but who else understands my frustration

  Would they bother preaching

  if your average publisher believed that the big a was definately not going to come in their lifetime would they bother preaching?

  given that they believe that when you die you go to sleep and wake up in a paradise earth with a clean slate what would be the point of preaching.

  those that have spent there lives as jw's and died what have they gained.

  Given that they believe that when you die you go to sleep and wake up in a paradise earth with a clean slate what would be the point of preaching. Those that have spent there lives as JW's and died what have they gained.

  Without the constant threat of the end of the world any day now their preaching is meaningless
