The Jah-jireh homes are NOT run or financed by the Watchtower Society, they are at pains to stress this on the Jah-jireh UK website.

I'm trying to access Barbara's website for information but keep being redirected to a foreign language site. If anyone can access www.watchtowerinformationservice.org there might be legal quotes or a judge's summing up you can use Besty. They'd have to take notice of that.

I believed in God right from a 12 year old. I WANTED to go to Sunday school even though my parents weren't churchgoers. Then they were groomed by the JW's and I left the church to follow what my parents wanted. Since leaving JW's I am renewing my infant faith but I'm still very much a babe.
I could never get this "relationship with Jehovah" thing. Somehow God just always felt distant and more than once I felt I was battling everything on my own (I probably was)
This kinda made me feel never good enough for God as if he was holding back his blessing cos I wasn't spiritual enough/wasn't studying enough/Harry Potter books were in the house/didn't pioneer when I should have/hated studying with the kids etc. No matter how hard I tried or how much effort I made, nothing ever felt good enough, there was always more to do, more to read, more to study, more about me to correct. I was truly exhausted and completely guilt-ridden.
Now my faith is turning more to Jesus Christ since I finally understand that I don't have to do anything to gain his approval. When I finally understood this, it was incredibly liberating and, for the first time ever, makes me want to gain His approval. My relationship with Christ is still in its infancy and my trust somewhat fragile but its growing.
I'm a 44 year old woman, mother of 4 sons and married for 26 years, yet in a way I am that 12 year old girl again, back on the right spiritual path after taking a long and damaging detour.

Is there a KH in Fort William? I stayed with a bro and sis in Roybridge 3 years ago. They had the group at their house so I didn't get to see the hall but heard them talking about it.
Just googled. An article mentioned a quick build in Caol.

Hi Lukewarm
Was the appendix actually covered as part of this week's study? Its really important that I know how this material was presented as it'll impact on my relationship with my parents.
If it was covered thoroughly then I can expect mum & dad to be VERY cool with me. I can prepare myself for the worst.
Thanks

What to do when your parents are toxic?
by Paralipomenon infrom reading people's stories and life experiences i thought i'd poll the members here for some advice.
my inlaws are extremely toxic.
i know, every person says that about their inlaws, but the way they treat their family is absolutely horrible.

Hi Scarred for life,
thanks for the good advice. I agree something has to change otherwise I'm gonna explode! I think you're right, I'll have to have serious words with my siblings to get them to take a more active role in mum and dad's care, especially my brothers.
I can hear the excuses now. "But what can we do, we live too far away?" They can still pick up the bloody phone now and again! They can all afford holidays abroad, new cars, new clothes, cigarettes etc, then why can't they afford the ferry crossing to visit once a month?
Yeah, time for a serious chat.

Hated having to do the kid's bible study. They hated it, I hated, we all hated it, yet I was guilted into doing it cos if you don't they might not learn the "truth", die at armagedon and it'll be all your fault.
