yes since 1914 in this I accept Jw teachings it makes sense, the same bible chronology led people to be expecting Jesus's arrival the first time, also I look around me and see that we are heading towards self-destruction, our willful blindness to consequences is what will destroy us. we are to powerful.

If some had said to us 10 years ago and bet some did the dangers of all the unlimited borrowing with the banks throwing money at us would lead to a worldwide recession would we have listened?

We didn't listen and there are many things we are still not listening on, as we cut through the last of the rainforests and use all our earthly resources. Feeling safe in our current luxuries.

If your husband won't take the lead, you've got to do it all.

Bastards. You try bringing up 4 rebellious male teenagers who all don't wanna go to the meetings/fs etc with a hubby that can't be arsed either. But still not have the status of being a "divided household" as hubby is still technically a brother.

Yep, dear James Potticary, that elder that said I have to do everyone's job as its my responsibility alone. I even remember the scripture he used to justify his stand.

Something about "not forsaking the law of your mother......."

for me it was when my elder dad put brusies on my arm, drug me down the hallway making me hit my head and broke my finger which resulted in surgery...and then he blamed it all on me!!!!

made me go to the meeting with my cast all druged up on pain killers and tell everyone that asked me what happened that it was an accident.

f***ing loser!!!!!

It was the day my dad said he wouldn't tolerate the cruel shunning I was receiving while we were all dealing with my mum's battle with cancer. He was all fired up to defend me so asked me to accompany him into a room to meet the PO about it. As soon as we got in there, he immediately switched, and I mean immediately fell in line with every crappy excuse the PO came up with, leaving me standing alone arguing with both of them.

A lot of the love and respect for my dad died that day and I can't get it back. That was the day I vowed I'd NEVER step through the doors of a Kingdom Hall again, not even for his funeral.

i've recently got a comcast movie package that gives all encore, hbo, cinemax, stars, showtime and ifc and other indie movies.

there are so many good movies that have been made that just didn't garner enough attention.. what movies do you think are good that weren't huge successes?.
