How can "God's Organization", directed by Holy Spirit EVER be at fault? Are you saying Jehovah has directed these men to get it wrong? How COULD you??

The bible is very candid when it comes to people's mistakes, it says it all. But the Watchtower has a reputation and a following to uphold as the self-proclaimed "God's Organization on Earth today" They can't mess about with the awkwardness with being honest about mistakes. If they did that, then most of the brothers would probably walk. Then they'd lose their status, their comfortable, all catered for, home, their power and control. Oh no, we can't have that now, can we.

Apostate-attack on a JW-stand in Norway (with pictures)

i was during last weekend in oslo, norway, to have an apostate meet-up.

we had the purpose of creating a new apostate association in norway.

however, guess if we didn't run into a jw-stand right next to a scientology-stand in the city centre (the text on the poster translates: "what happens to us when we die?)!.

The nearest to a JW stand I 've seen in the UK is a local sister who regularly took her old magazines and displayed them at a car boot sale. She sat there enjoying the sunshine and browsing the other stalls whilst counting the time. She might have shifted one or two mags.

Emotional Reactions to the Loss of the Book Study

i think the loss of the book study will hit some like a death of a friend.

it will mark the end of an era.

it will forever change the religion of jehovah's witnesses and i believe the change is completely irreversible.. of course, most witnesses will be delighted by this.

My parents book study was their whole life, I mean, it was their complete social life. As a group, they not only did all the "society" stuff but once a month they had a games night together with lots of food. They had trips out to the theatre together and fish & chip suppers etc.

Now that mum and dad are getting on (70's-80's) the group was the one meeting they didn't struggle to get to cos it was held in the daytime.

Of all the meetings to get rid of this will hurt them the most. I feel sad for them both as they'll miss the support. Still it means I might get them to come back to their family,

the WTS teaches old light that it has never changed the truth about WHO GOD IS, WHO CHRIST IS, WHAT THE KINGDOM IS, THE TRUE DOCTRINES OF SOUL AND ALL THE OTHER PAGAN SATANIC DOCTRINES OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH AND OTHER FAITHS THAT STILL TEACH THESE WRONG TEACHINGS.

Your not making any sense. The churches haven't changed their understanding on most of these things either. Isnt that something the WT have lambasted them for for decades? Not "keeping in step with Jehovah" ? Not "being progressive"? not "moving forward with Jehovah's Organization?

So which way do you want it? One minute its proof that JW's are Gods Org precisely becasue they HAVE changed things, then you say they are God's Org precisely because they haven't!

Why cant we check the credentials of these "celebrated WT scholars"? And why are they "celebrated" if nobody knows who they are? Surely you must know who they are Scholar, to trust them so completely? Their reputation is of paramount importance in this. Without their identity why should anyone even consider taking the WT seriously?

If the author of Mein Kampf was anonymous, I could call him "celebrated" too if I wished. But because I know his name, I also know he was a despotic, murdering madman with delusions of grandeur. Therefore I can decide whether to accept his agenda-loaded works as "truth" or not.

As a self-appointed Scholar yourself, surely you would not accept as "truth" writings from an anonymous source would you?

probably one of the strongest reason for myself to leave the jws was the exploitive way they used the bible in support of their literature and books.. i was one of those folks that started to re-think things after the 1975 hoopla.

at that time the publishers had to buy their magazines and then try to sell them.
