Getting a SSN for finalizing affairs is no big deal. I work with this stuff daily. Previous threads are correct, 401k, life insurance, and any account with a beneficiary would ask for a SSN. This is the easiest way for any financial institution to identify you and if needed track you down. If all they had was name and birthday they couldn't identify you as easy. Think of how many John Smith's there are.

As a witness was your thinking controlled by symbols
by KAYTEE ini knew an elder who wouldnt buy an alfa romeo (car) because it had a badge at the front of the car with a symbol of a snake on it.
thats the mind boggling effect the wts had on people.. every day normal things, you would question yourself as to weather it had satanic connections with it.. its a wonder how we survived our everyday living?.

I guess I was always a rebel. I hated being controled and people telling me what I could and could not do. Any chance I could get away with something I would. I remember mom being flipping out about a corona shirt I bought once, as well as a polo shirt that had a ship with a flag on it. Over time she got use to it and more permisive.

I left a year or so ago, told my parents about that time, (that was barrel of monkeys). At that point I have just put beliefs in the "backburner". I feel like i was burn't out on religion in general by the last 30 years or so in the borg. I'm not sure what to believe now. I haven't felt a spiritual void yet, but I have a 3 year old that will begin asking questions. So I figure I have a little time to make up my mind on what to teach her about spirituality. At this point, I've made up my mind that jw religion is a hoax by it's ever changing philosophy's. But I don't know if that means that god doesnt exist for me. I have various thoughts about this from, yes he exists and created us but now has abandoned us, to nope god is just a figment that man has created to deal with imortality.(although that doesn't explain jesus?)
I just want to through this out there for discussion to get your feelings on the matter?
