If my brother didn't know that I am not going to meetings, he would give me info on what is going on.
However, he knows and thus I dont get any info.
I do agree that the egos of the PO, SO, and Secretary are all larger than life.
I have introduced them to a visiting friend before as "Br. Pain-in-the-A$$" and they added on saying "I'm the PO"
Pride is definitely oozing off of those titles

2. major organizational changes about to start rolling out, one is changes to the "service committee" and titles, po to be done away with, thats all i know for now.

it is interesting that they will eliminate the title. However, I wonder if they will eliminate the position?
Just like in Bethel, they eliminated the title Bethel Elder, but the position still exists.
As a bethelite you still need to go to a Bethelite Elder, with problems rather than a standard Elder.
This leads me to conclude, the titles may go away, but the actions and authority will remain.
It is only in the semantics. -

It depends if they are trying to keep the "we are the true religion" look.

losing the plot for jehoovah
by jacethespace inhas anyone ever met people whithin the kingdom mall that are seriously mentally unstable to the point of completly losing it?.
for example ive heard from members of my cong that we once had a guy who believed he was an angel and would try to eat the bread and wine at the memorial evening[ and the elders would stop him].theres been many others ive heard of.at one assembly a poor old guy was giving a talk and i overheard someone i know mention how " he gives good talks but hes had a big nervous breakdown over the years".
i was suspicous when i heard these things then but now all these things start to fit into place.i mean how can an organization who professes gods backing have so much mental instability.. .

A better question would be:
Does anyone who has been a JW NOT know someone mentally unstable?
I knew lots of them!
Certain brothers' actions could only be explained as "that's just who they are".
To pick a specific example, a brother said he saw aliens.
Another time he said that he gave a ride to an angel. (he knew it was an angel because it disappeared after he dropped it off)
yet another time, he said that he saw and interacted with an anointed brother after the anointed brother died.
There's lots more where those came from... -

I used to be an MS. I have a sibling who is in Bethel.
I think if they are on this board, they probably are getting the hell out of dodge. -

Little fun game
by JH ini was googling "multitasking test" and found this....but the instructions are in german, so i used bable fish translation to translate the first sentence, and it says to click and hold on the red square, and try to move it around without the other pieces touching it..... i didn't try to translate the rest, i'm to lazy.
.
let's see how long you can go without any pieces touching the red square.. http://www.pamela.abraxxs.com/multitaskingtest.htm.
