TLK : I agree. Let me know if I am low on a quota of God's love in any area and I will ask him for some more. You have free will TLK ... in the matter of love it's about what you REALLY love (all together = human beings, what is material, yourself, and and and ... ) so you can ask of course but it will still TOTALLY depends on you. don't get me wrong I'm not saying that you don't love others (I don't know you) but if you think that you understood the meaning I just fell the need to remind you what it is all about and who have to really work on it (= ourselve) It's hard enough to realise what we really love - easy to skip away from any good will in the matter because the love of something not as important (contextually) as what is really important (contextually) takes over (to be honest, it's like we have to question ourselve everyday about everything about it) so maybe asking to be able to love others more is a way to think about it, but then we still have to work on it in wanting it for REAL to be able for REAL.

We are free to love
by purplesofa inwhat i have noticed since pulling away from group thinking, mindsets, rules and superstitions, that i am open to a broader range of loving people.. i am not sure i can blame all this on the jw expericance.
as children we are taught from our tribe, (family and enviroment, church, school, extended family, neighborhood..........who to love and who not to love.
i used to believe as the witnesses taught, you have to "beat" the evil out of children.. have you ever watched a group of small children unattended?

Cool : You know what's cool in getting a particular gift ... It's the fact that you know that to give it to you the other one had think about you wanting to please you and with what.
Now I wonder why I don't give gifts ... If you ask me who I gave gift too, it takes time for me to remember (taking my son out of the equation, I did but for a very few and it took weeks if not months for me to chose what exactly) ...
And still which is weird also (regarding to the time it took) it takes time for me to remember what to who ... Because instead of really thinking about that what comes to my mind then is to think about those I would have love to give a gift but didn't (because it took too much time for me to think about what exactly to be special enough and gave up because I couldn't find something I really wanted to offer them - how stupid/awfull is that?) ... And I regret somehow that when I didn't have the choice about the day/when or the deadline (because it's birthday for instance) I end up giving an envelope for them to chose what they want ... And somehow it's just soooo unpersonal ... (but what to do?).

I REALLY DON'T CARE...............................
by Warlock ini believe in god, but i also realize he may not exist.. if you don't believe in god, i really don't care, i'm just curious.. i don't have this need to start threads like "why you must believe in god", or other such nonsense, but some of you still have this "control" issue that you thought you left in the org.
it seems like you must still try to control what others think.
"think like me, or you are an idiot.

Please pay attention to not miss interpretating what I'm saying
You claimed earlier that your 'experience' of a God, regardless of whether it is a conceptual believe or not, proved to you the correctness of your belief.
I didn't say my experience of God (but : my experiences in some matter) ... I didn't say anything about correctness of my belief (but : my reason to lead to some conclusion - which does not mean correctness)
This is not 'universal evidence' it is personal 'experience' and therefore is of no value in determining issues of belief.
Exactly (except my experiences)
The paranormal is a description of something abstract, not a reality
No it's something real which happens and that we don't know much about ...
You are as entitled to your opinions as I am to my facts. ;)
I'll credit that on your sense of (gasp - ok lets say) humor?
Cheers

The problem with personal experience in these matters is that our religious experiences are dependant on our own interpretation of what is undoubtedly a chemical experience. Personal experience therefore must always bow to universal evidence.
Sorry to tell you that "undoubtedly" and "experience therefore must always bow to universal evidence" is fallacious here ... Paranormal is paranormal ... that's why it's called this way.
And please forget about me mixing religion and this matter ... still it does lead to specific conclusion about specific things.
Then (unless you've really read me) you have to realise that my spiritual view one the matter of God is not religious but conceptual.
Best regards ...

Sorry for my english (what can I say)
Now if you want to know about your french (at least the sentence you've wrote) ... well there is not a single word misspelled in it ... ask outnfree BTW ... for the little story ... Something like more than a week ago she sent me something like 20 lignes in french there was not a single error in them ... Not one !!! ... Wow ...
Anyway it's cool to read some stuff in French on here
ok back to the subject
Using only the evidence I have been able to find, I see no reason to believe in a god. I just think that something as big and important as a god should leave some confirmation of his existence other than unverifiable anecdotes. If you have it, show it to me. If not, then sorry but it's too important an issue for me to take your word for it.
I understand exactly what you mean and of course you don't have to take my word for it ... (I know that it would be too much to ask more over in this matter). We may have a chance to meet one day, and maybe that day my sister will be there too ... if so, we'll tell you (not to convince you but to satisfy your eventual curiosity because since it's paranormal I'm not sure it can do anything but leave people perplex or need to rationalized it at any rate, to the point to become irationnal) ...
Anyway you have to understand that I do understand your point of view ... and your reasons to not believe.
