Narkissos : To illustrate: many parents, including those whom their children may consider as "abusive" or "selfish," will always talk about how they sacrificed themselves for their children. And they certainly did so in many ways. But why they did so as they did it is open to question. Love is an easy answer, but (as the Bible says) it may cover a lot of other things.

Right as a kid I had hard time understanding my mother when she was saying things like it's for your own good ... In my head I was like : errrrrrrrr ar you sure? As a kid Adults really got me nervous (sounds hypocrite on lots of things) - but then again what do I really know about the origin of their motivations I'm not them? There must be a reason good or bad but there is one ...

Thanks SadEmo for explaining in a better way ...

Onacruse, you know the langage barrier is SO frustrating, sometimes I feel like I'm talking in the wind / or that what I'm saying is totally missunderstood. For me it takes a lot of effort to try to explain what I think. I guess I should learn English ... (but I do with all of you ... I don't like any schoolish method ... it's boring)

I'm so happy when somebody who sees the things the way I do is telling it in a better way ...

Do You Really Need to Know the Truth Again?

are we better people when were looking for the truth, rather than when weve found it?

when i thought i knew the truth it didnt make me a better person, it didnt give me peace of mind or facilitate self discovery.

if anything it released negative qualities such as arrogance and misanthropy.

NO ... actually faith or christian attitude (it's the same = you believe in what is good for everyone) is enough (then it's all about how you feel/act towards others - that's when reality about what is right and wrong is obvious) When we focus too much on fiding or having the truth we might miss the reality in what is really important in everyonce life.

Ok Onacruse

... We have a probleme here I don't understand your question or you don't understand my answers.

So I'm going to try to be more clear about how I feel about the subject in taking an example out of religious matter :

If my son is runing in the street and he is going to be crashed by a bus ... if I run to push him farest in taking the risk to be crashed myself am I masochiste? NO ... why? because I don't want to suffer the probleme is that (as my son means a lot to me) I'm being optimist in thinking that, that way we may both get out of trouble by me doing that or I'd rather have him saved instead of me.
I don't know if this is an example which explain clearly my point view on the matter ... maybe someone can find a better way to explain this?

It's just normal to be fed up at the end (this is how it's supposed to be - religions are supposed to bother us at some point, they are a bit too frustrating and wrong in many ways) any religion is first a phylosophie, so why getting into human religion too much ... being christian from heart to me is a phylosophy and if the word religion is used to talk about it stays in a spiritual way (so it is still a phylosophy) That doesn't mean I don't have faith in God/Christ ... My faith is stronger than ever ... I just don't care about the details.

That's exactly what masochism is! In fact, the primary definition involves the derivation of sexual pleasure from physical pain.

Yes but it depends on the why (the purpose = where it leads) I mean it's not suffering for the sake of suffering

It's the "translation" of pain into pleasure, for whatever reason, that strikes me (now, though for a long time it didn't) as being abnormal. The Scriptures are replete with similar examples, and the WTS literature is permeated with the same, especially during the War years and after periods of major apostasy. In not so many words, it's a matter of "If you aren't suffering, you're not a Christian."

to me there is an missunderstanding here about that : it means more something like that : You know that if you are good you will have against you a lot of bad once and as being good you will have to deal with them or the situation as good/nicely as possible (it's frustating and either physical or moral or both it can be very painfull).

A call to all NF's and NT's (Myers Briggs)

ok, some of you may be sick of these personality type issues but here goes.. i've noticed that whenever these topics come up, nf's and nt's come out of the woodwork.

in case you didn't know, these are the minority of the geneal population.

in a random setting you will have only 2 to 5% of n's (infp, infj,enfp,enfj,intp,intj,entp,entj).

I was waiting for others to answer you ... but since no one answered

this is my feeling about it

the N's in being more intuitive gets more chance to get out of the WTBS before others

on an other topic it seems like (but I'm not sure of that)
the N's and P's or S and J seems to answer more easely (they have their opinion made)

the T's who are also J and S takes more time to get into a debate (seems * to feel supported before)
